📣 NEW PODCAST EPISODE! From Seminfinalist to Signed Writer | Andy Compton Back in 2021, Andy Compton placed as a semifinalist in the Nicholl Screenwriting Fellowship... twice. After that, Roadmap helped him get signed to Epicenter, where he now has several projects in development, including being attached to direct his drama script, BELLYACHE. In this episode, we reminisce with Andy about the days of Screenwriting Twitter, chat about his journey after getting signed, and about independent filmmaking vs. writing for the market. 🎧 FULL EPISODE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaIsfpvHiMk

My first time ever acting was for a feature length film, PET TURTLES, that we filmed back in 2017. Last night I got to see it for the very first time at a private Friends & Family screening. What a wild experience to see myself from nine years ago, before I could even grow facial hair. Before I knew anything about anything. My first time being on a set. My first time in front of a camera that big. My first time understanding the importance of good audio for a film. All the feels hit me at this screening. This movie rules. So much love. An amazing soundtrack. Beautifully shot and colored by Forest Wharton. And every single frame has Vern’s giant fucking heart all over it. I’m so proud of this and can’t thank Vern enough that he sent me a message on Facebook 10 years ago asking if I’d ever want to try acting. What a very special night.
