“Maba” (I Have Arrived) is a striking series by Ghanaian creatives Andy Madjitey and Kojo Affedzie. It showcases African fashion through the lens of sustainability, featuring models in organic, traditionally crafted, and reimagined vintage pieces. This series challenges stereotypes, celebrates Africa’s rich textile heritage, and calls for a global shift towards more ethical fashion choices.

Through the Lens of a New Generation opens tonight at Vibrate Space, Accra, as the inaugural group exhibition of Vibrate Film Lab—a newly launched community initiative created to nurture experimentation, collaboration, and sustainability among filmmakers, photographers, archivists, and visual artists.
.
Bringing together 10 talented artists based in Ghana—including some of MANJU’s most cherished imagemakers—the exhibition offers a compelling invitation to engage with photography as both personal archive and cultural commentary. Audiences are encouraged to witness the stories these images tell and to celebrate a new wave shaping the future of analog and digital photography in Ghana.
.
‘We envision this space growing into a central and a cultural institution for photographers across the subregion, fostering cross-cultural exchange and innovation in visual storytelling’ the collective says.
