Page 2 of my short memoir of the wonderful time I had doing live portraits/sketching at the @nowadaze_festival.

This is probably my favourite of the lot, took some time to get the details and the costumes right, of course I had a lot of help considering all the amazing photos taken by some of the most talented people out there.

Everyone features in this is a real person who was there-Dj's, bartenders, festival goers and then some so keep an eye out for yourself 👀 in here and tag in the comments!

The @anecdotesmagazine Nowadaze special edition packed with material from hosts of other artists and writers will be launched on the 17th of October 2026 at the Full Moon, swing by and get your copy!

When I was asked to do this by @anecdotesmagazine I genuinely had no idea how I'd do live sketches in my style for so many people in so little time. It was my first day at the @nowadaze_festival and I felt underprepared because I was in the middle of moving .
The day started out pretty busy enough for me to stop thinking about it and start drawing. There were many many beautiful people who stopped by for their portraits and waited so patiently even when we had a mile long waiting list and for that I'm very grateful albeit surprised...
I did free live portraits until 8 and started taking commissions after 9 until 3 in the morning😄
It was a great pleasure to see people come back from their
sets eager to see their art and what I had made for them. As an artist nothing made me happier than that.
And many thanks to the wonderful fellas who took me in as their own and let me camp with them.
To new friends, old memories and more of em shortly🥂

Special thanks to @fe_flex and @ailanibc for helping me throughout the process even when it was hectic and tiring ensuring it ran smoothly.

a super cool project i’ve done recently for @anecdotesmagazine ⭐️

on the theme of alternative spaces, i decided to explore the incredible street art around bristol, looking at art that lives around us, outside of galleries, and transforms once liminal space into something to celebrate 🎉

once i’d written my article, i wanted to pair it with some super cool artwork! initially, i wanted to do some sketches of the street art in bristol, but i’m so glad i did an original piece to bring the whole thing to life 🫶

the title was designed by me too! i thought a cool collage to pay homage to the breadth of street art style would pair perfectly with the theme 😎

@anecdotesmagazine are doing such an amazing thing by creating this magazine, and put on such a spectacular launch party last night!! thank you to the whole team, please go and give them a follow, the whole magazine is such a work of art and a captivating read 😁

No your eyes do not deceive you. Yes that does say Grapevine at Strange Brew.

Residents all night long. Low ceiling. Quadraphonic sound. Fat subs. New lighting rig. What more needs to be said.

We know you’ve all got nothing to be doing so Wednesday the 27th might as well be a Friday.

Come along for the amazing Anecdotes magazine launch (which we are currently working on our piece for) and stay for a dance on what may just be the best spot in the city.

Free entry to the launch and £5 for the afters.

See you on the floor 🙅‍♂️
