It’s been a journey, and it still goes on! 📈🏃🏿‍♂️ The ankle stayed solid with no twists this time! Massive thanks to @je.suis.jesse for the shockwave treatment and working with me on the @zlaantboard ,it made a huge difference to my ankle stability. Sticking strictly to the splits we agreed on at @cara_ann_kerspuy @kerspuy_physiotherapy kept me from pushing harder than the ankle could handle. The @capecobratrail was a completely different type of beast. The plan was to target a 4h+ finish, and staying disciplined to that pace secured 2nd place overall! 🥈🔥 Shoutout to @je.suis.jesse , sponsors ,the crew, and all the volunteers for putting on such an amazing event. Huge thanks to @thenorthfacesouthafrica for sorting me out with the new OFFTRAIL ULTRA shoes,they felt incredibly light and responsive on those technical climbs and descents. Thank you to @openfuel for always fueling my grit and keeping me stocked up. Big shoutout to @underson_ncube for acing it, to everyone who took on the mission and conquered the trail, and to @wellnesswarehouse for putting together such a strong team. I’m truly grateful to work with everyone involved. A still, foggy morning on the start line at Green Point Cricket Club as The Cobra Full runners got Strike II underway. @ferdill_vilander opened proceedings with a traditional blessing of the route, and @schoolofrockclaremont brought the gees with the national anthem. 42 km between them and the finish at Constantia Uitsig.
