Second Annual Winemaker Harvest Dinner at Aloria Vineyards.
What an incredibly artful, meticulously made dinner by Chef Joe, “This is the best dinner I’ve ever had”, was pretty much spoken by all 31 at the table. A half moon of butternut squash, the creamiest and most delicious coconut curry, purple cauliflower purée with shrimp and lime zest started us off. It looked and tasted like a fall sunset. Paired with our 22 Viognier. Perfection. Five courses followed. Each one topping the other. And our wines, curated by Bud, were embraced and celebrated by the ambiance and extraordinary company. It was a wonderful night. Good job, kids. Angela, Patrick, Bud, we couldn’t have done it without you.

2019 BARBERA 🏆🍷BEST OF CALAVERAS RED 🍷🏆 2023
Celebrating 5 years as Aloria Vineyards: Est. In 1996 as Canterbury Vineyards/Renner Winery with a big surprise and honor.

“Our Barbera was grafted in the Spring of 2018-while Rob and I were still finishing up our lives in San Jose: me, teaching my Kindergarten class in East San Jose, and Rob with Xilinx-making programmable chips, and moving my Dad from Mountain View to Angels Camp. An exciting and monumental Spring for us, and our families. We are so excited to be able to experience the fruits of our labor and passion in our hearts with this Honor. Enjoy a taste, glass, or bottle of Barbera and our signature bites at Above The Rush Wines tasting room in Vallecito.”- Sheri Hendriks

Other ⭐️ winners:
🥈 21 Aloria Viognier Silver
🥈 Sparkling Barbera Rosè Silver
🥈 19 Syrah Silver
🥉 19 Tempranillo Bronze
🥉 19 Zinfandel Bronze

“The competition is one of the oldest judgings in California and once again, we assembled a great group of judges who will spread the word about the competition wines and our regional wines.
The medaled wines will be displayed at the Fair next month and will be viewed by thousands of fair goers……Congratulations and thanks to everyone who participated!
Tom Bender
Calaveras Wine Competition Coordinator”
