@juankiferri : Sometimes players won’t listen to their fathers, but they’ll listen to someone else.

@angel.ayora_ : My dad often says to me, “Look, I’ve told you this so many times, but you never listen. Then Ferrero says the exact same thing, and suddenly you listen!”

Little life update👇

As you may know, this year I decided to stop competing. And let me tell you that this year I have been 10x happier than the past 3 when I was.

It feels that the old happy Nacho that got lost in the process of pursuing pro golf has come back to life. It somehow feels like I have removed a huge weight off my shoulders. Now, weirdly enough, my only goal is to be happy & enjoy life.

Over the past years when I was competing, it felt like happiness became secondary as my life & my identity was formed by how well I played golf. Always pursuing and brainstorming how to get better. When I wasn’t practicing & simply enjoying life it somehow felt wrong inside of me. Golf consumed my life to the point where I had to take a break from it at the end of last year. That break lasts till today.

It now feels that I have waken up and realised what the real purpose of life is. Now my goal is to enjoy the little moments, such as a coffee by the beach, a trip to Vietnam with my best friends, jumping from a plane, dancing, or a simple walk with my mom. All I wanna do is laugh and appreciate the moments that truly make me smile. Life also is about working hard, making money & doing things you don’t wanna do. But again, it’s weird because now my only job is to enjoy. No more pursuing or looking for external validation. Only laughs, friends & my own happiness.

P.S: I’m still a pro golfer, I still play & practice and I will compete in the future cause I love to do so.

Unos días para disfrutar del golf de alto nivel, acompañar a Ángel Ayora en competición y compartir buenos momentos con todo el equipo.
