Ethiopian Impact Vision Trip 2020 is in the books! The EI Board traveled with special friends to visit with ministry partners in Ethiopia. We were so blessed to be with these wonderful servants and see first-hand the work God is doing through the Youth Impact programs in Addis Ababa.

This show was sweeter than I could have ever imagined. When I won the Gilman Scholarship to go to Italy this past May and told them my plan was to do an art exhibit at my home church when I got back, it felt like a dream that probably wouldn’t come true. But dang, the Lord went above and beyond. The people in these photos are only a few of the ones who made this show possible, but it was a joy to share it with them. This show is an ebenezer, a physical example of the Lord’s faithfulness to me, in the midst of being sick, trying to finish finals, get Christmas presents together, not having a working car, and so many other things. Honey & Ashes reminded me what a beautiful thing it is to be a part of the body of Christ, and it was an honor to witness the courage of those who created work, and the support of the community. —————————————————

A few more highlights from #Blissdom. Friends, if you want to make great connections and move forward in your business as a writer, speaker, podcaster, or entrepreneur in the online space, I can not recommend this conference enough. I loved sharing publishing insider tips with conferees, and in-person time with my clients and publishing contacts was a joy. I also met some talented up & coming writers whose names will likely be in print within the next few years. 📚 Wherever you find yourself in the publishing journey today, dear ones, don’t worry about what others are doing or have done—even if you weren’t at Blissdom, say no to FOMO because confidence has no competition—just focus on the next step in front of you today. Do what you can each day to faithfully steward the message and story you hold. One day, one step, one small act of courage and obedience at a time. It’s a worthwhile journey. Keep going, friends! 👏🏼

Last night our agency celebrated our new chapter with friends.✨ Since Tawny and I are here in Nashville for #Blissdom, we hosted a little reception for local publishing friends and clients who are here for the event. It was a joy mixing publishers with authors, acquisitions folks and marketers from different houses. Seriously, we work with some of the best people! (I only wish we could bring ALL of our clients and publishing friends together at one time!) I said a few words and we toasted to all we’ve been blessed to achieve together the past 13 years, and to all we will develop the next 13 +years, by God’s grace. The Bible says God’s word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Because we believe in the power of words to light the way forward and to catalyze change in our lives and communities—we will continue doing our part with joy. Cheers to all of you who do the brave work of co-creation, crafting stories and messages onto paper for the hearts of your readers. Let’s keep creating great books together! 🥂🍾 Raise your hand if you believe in the power of words to incite actions that change the world! 🖐🏼

Last week in Kentucky was the most, most special. GoodLit was some part writing retreat and one hundred percent spiritual retreat. Thankful for these souls and our hosts the Correll’s and Wedgwood Circle and four days to lean into something so much bigger than ourselves. And porch swings. Thankful for porch swings.🐎 #hundoP

#Boutofbooks Day 7 Challenge for #bob23igphoto is Series Love.
I loved this series set in Kentucky about a young woman who returns home and finds a whole new life waiting for her. The author promotes sustainable living, buying local, and Christian living . Angela Correll also owns a cafe and shop full of homemade soaps and lotions that I hope to visit some day!
