Thank you to @earnies_light x @angelk1 x @ghettotherapycle for the opportunity to collaborate on Ernie’s second annual Celebration of Life.

@angelk1 wanted to share this celebration of her son with her community. It was an honor to help capture a day dedicated to his memory and the lives he touched.

On October 14 at Ghetto Therapy, the community came together to celebrate Ernie’s life and raise awareness about suicide prevention through open conversations and support for those who are struggling.

@earnies_light and @ghettotherapycle are more than organizations. They are places for people to be heard, build connections, and find support within their community.

Just like my baby girl @ms_anique.k said this is the first of many. “ God wrote the steps” “pain turn purpose”! Powerful words. I will continue to keep my baby’s legacy alive by spreading awareness and saving lives!. Thank you to everyone who came out to support Earnie’s Light first event, everyone that volunteered their assistance, time and energy, those that made donations. Anyone who supported in any way, I truly truly appreciate all of you and words can’t express my sincere gratitude ❤️. Special Thanks to the two awesome speakers @iamtuwanspencer and @mlee27896 we enjoyed both powerful messages🥰 Can’t wait to hear them speak again😊.

💜 Come out this Saturday, June 13, and be part of a conversation that could save a life. 💜(Info on Flyer)
Bring a teen, young adult, or anyone who may be struggling with mental health challenges or suicidal thoughts. Let’s break the stigma together and remind our community that no one has to face these battles alone.
You won’t want to miss hearing these two powerful speakers and connecting with local mental health organizations and resources. This promises to be an impactful evening of hope, healing, and support.
If you can’t attend but would like to support the mission of The Earnie L. Sledge II Foundation (Earnie’s Light), donations are greatly appreciated. We are a Non profit organization 501(C)3.

💜 Shining Light. Lifting Voices. Saving Lives.

Your cousin told you to meet them at the bar, and then you ran into your nephew and niece. Then a few more showed up. It's a family affair.

A year ago, our family was devastated by Earnie's passing. My cousin Angelique A. King and I have been planning and working nonstop. Earnie's Light Foundation is the most rewarding accomplishment we've started. We never want another family to feel that kind of loss.

Today is all about being together and feeling love from each other. Nothing went right today, we were fussy, and no matter how well we planned, it didn't go our way. It went the way it was supposed to go. More importantly, we made it to celebrate life and accomplishments for Carla Wilburn-Miles' retirement.
