THIS IS IT
VEFA GALLERY’s third exhibition closes THIS SATURDAY — May 24 | 5:30–10PM
And we’re ending it like only VEFA can.

Resident artist John DeTemple unveils the final evolution of his mythic “9 Realms” series — an immersive, vault-bound climax you have to witness to believe. One night only.

Paul Roustan will be live body painting.
Stoney Eye will open a portal to the Metaverse — performing a DJ set from inside a digital realm while guests at VEFA become part of the broadcast.
The Metaverse will see you.

This is not just a closing reception.
This is a moment in contemporary art history.

Why surrealism now?
Because reality is stranger than fiction — and artists are the only ones telling the truth.

Don’t just come. Collect.
Final chance to acquire these works before they disappear forever. Bring your eyes. Bring your wallet. Bring your people.

VEFA GALLERY
21825 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance
Saturday, May 24 | 5:30–10PM
No RSVP. Just show up and step in.

Ángel León Valiente -
crafts visual parables of exceptional depth. This Cuban-born, Barcelona-based artist merges Latin American magical realism with European surrealist traditions to address displacement and belonging in contemporary life.

His masterfully rendered drawings create a dreamlike vision for us to peer through. Valiente often replaces his subjects' heads to reveal his protagonists' internal dilemmas, like his predecessor, René Magritte, whose allegorical narratives exemplified psychoanalysis, one of the fundamental tenets of surrealism.

Valiente paints what is in our heads - as our heads. This series invites us to connect to who we are and who we portray.

The exhibition remains on view until May 24, 2025, at VEFA Gallery.

VEFA Gallery: 21825 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503

Please share your thoughts if you visit! I'd love to see the exhibition through your eyes. 🌹✨ #Surreality101 #Curator #SurrealistArt #VEFAGallery
