🦶🏽Foot Work🦶🏽

Grand rising fam!

Dropping these highlights of a few routes I flashed. I wanted to bring attention to the importance of footwork.

Foot holds that require more friction to stay on means that they require more pressure on the wall. Unfortunately, my bunion won’t allow me to put pressure on that big toe…Womp Womp.

It’s been really fascinating to see how my body tries to adapt.

The few routes are with shoes, and lastly ending with my first ever no shoe climb. It was the just the perfect route for me to try.

Lots to digest but I’ll leave that for me, in the meantime here is what my bouldering journey looks like.

🤏🏽 Pull Up Work🤏🏽

What up fam!?

Dropping these pull-ups variations I’ve been incorporating into my training.

1) wooden rock rock : “sloaper hold” practice, challenges that open palm grip

2) “Mo Pro” trainer / simulated rope climbs using a thick wooden short staff.

3) towel pullups : the thicker the towel, the more Intense the grip.

From climbing to BJJ, or anyone looking to develop their grip while pulling, thse are excellent options.

🙈FAIL HARDER🙈

What up fam!?

Dropping this edit of the process.

I felt pretty good after my kettlebell workout and decided to try this route I’ve been working on.

The first falls are from a few days ago.

Today after getting tips from a seasoned and strong climbing athlete @henrysussman_ I was able to pull through.

On a side note, Ligaments and tendons take a lot Longer to strengthen. Climbing has been an activity that taught me patience and new found respect for grip strength.

It’s impressive what seasoned climbers are able to achieve.
