if we’re gonna break protocol, it better be a cocktail worth drinking

no ‘house’ g&t or vodka soda over here

carb loading….. aka heavily toasted bread steeped overnight

ill have another and the sticky toffee for dessert as well please.

defying all nutrition protocols for this

an entire menu of traditional chinese tea-infused spirits… and in an underground cave

this is a 3x repeat offender

something to wash down the supplements, duh

yeah i had two back to back, one for the bride AND groom

talk about a piece of meat

nutrition break bc we’re clearly on a vacation over here

duck, duck… double protein

avant-garde topped with a tomato

my first taste of a clarified cocktail, would roll my ankle again and attend weeks of physical therapy all over for this

When you only have 24 hours in NYC, zero meals can be wasted. Here’s the exact hit list Trisha @trishaeatsny uses when friends come to town:
🥯 Breakfast: Apollo Bagels or Breakfast by Salt’s Cure (West Village)
🍝 Lunch: Via Carota or L’Artusi (West Village)
🍛 Dinner: Musaafer (Tribeca) or Adda (East Village)
🍸 Drinks: Double Chicken Please (LES) or Martiny’s or Angel’s Share (West Village)

Where does a chef with @thedutchnyc and @theastornyc eat on his night off? 🍸 @andrewcarmellini lets us in on his NYC rotation.

He’s lived in Manhattan for 36 years and calls Chelsea home. His picks include Basque tapas at @txikitonyc, wings and highballs at @bargoto_nyc, and the West Village bar @angelssharenyc.

His full list, from old school favorites to a Flushing date night, is in the article from @cindyaugustine at the link in bio.

shaking with one piece of ice is the key.

———
At the Japanese-inspired Angel’s Share in New York — No. 31 on North America’s 50 Best Bars 2026, cocktails are shaken with a single large piece of ice, and stirring happens with barely a sound. The devil appears in the artwork behind the bar; just outside the frame, an angel raises a finger to its lips.

Take You There feels particularly at home in fall. Curry powder brings a familiar warmth to the season, layered over butter-fat washed Legent bourbon, pineapple, apple-spiced agave, raw coconut water, lemon and aquafaba.

Here, restraint isn’t only something you see. It’s something you hear.

Happy hour week 57!!!!😆🍸👼

This week we took a stroll to the west village to visit @angelssharenyc for a drink on what must be our favorite street in New York (Grove Street) considering we have done like 5 happy hours on it now😆 This was seriously the most elegant and tasteful little hole in the wall (literally we could not locate the entrance at first I mean it looked so unassuming) place and the drinks blew us away!!!!!!

Mel got the Foggy Day martini and Linds got a sake-based drink called Painted Paradise which had real flowers in it🌸 You guys. Like actually some of the best specialty cocktails we have ever had!! There were so many flavor notes and both drinks were so smooth and you could taste the quality👩‍🍳💋

We definitely will be back especially because we want to try literally everything on the menu!!!!!

See you next week💋💋

meet unnecessary, an ice cream shop on the LES serving cocktail-inspired soft serve. they dont shy from unconventional flavors (they literally turned the US Open Honey Deuce into a soft serve likeee), and are always crafting fresh seasonal menu items. there’s always something new to try.

this is the team behind @unnecessarynewyork and @doublechickenpleasenyc favorite spots in NYC. while trying these out, make sure to stop by their iconic venues too 🍦

48 hours in New York City and we already know where we would spend them.

From boutique hotels to very good coffee, the pizza worth making time for, dinner reservations, cocktails and the views we would actually stop for. This is our version of a New York City weekend.

Save this for when NYC happens!
