Synth Hang × @shackhq is back, and this time we’re bringing the home hang scene to the space.

⏰ September 6th, 4-6:30PM
📍 Shack Coffee Co, Shahpur Jat, Delhi

Home hangs are the heart of what Synth Hang is about. Just a bunch of enthusiasts hanging out at someone’s living room filled with synths, tangled wires, and a constant buzz nobody can tell where it’s coming from.

On September 6th, our synths will be hanging out at @shackhq along with us, bringing the warm homely session with a warmer sub bass. We invite you to join us in listening, / tweaking some synths and playing along.

PS — your response to our pilot open mic earlier this month genuinely blew us away. We’re already cooking up the next one for October, with details landing later in September. Keep an eye out.

KISSA In-Store Radio, the broadcast series launched by @AntarikshRecords and @VegNonVeg, turns its attention to Delhi-NCR’s growing synthesiser community with a special marking International Synthesiser Day. Featuring Songs For A Tired City (@shivahuja) from @synth.hang, @Imerohii from @altbaithak and @Angiamusic from @Angiadevices, the session offers a snapshot of the city’s evolving culture around synthesis, modular systems and experimental live performance.

Ambient distortion singing in the pleasant April air - an impromptu hang with hauptmeier + recker (@hauptmeier_recker) + others in the city, filling the terrace with off-kilter beats. Noising around was the only priority!

A few glimpses from Synth hang #14 in March hosted by @uncannystations. Opening with a track from Elia Buletti/ Delmore FX’s album Cry Before Buy, then moving into @beatnyk’s FOSS-based sonic map of the city and Laxita’s fascinating tactile controller explorations. The evening ended with our extended jams.

Thanks everyone for being there!

@synthfarmindia was a little pocket of magic this year. Days full of sound, questions, strange ideas, shared curiosities, and the kind of community energy that reminds you why you do this work in the first place.

Grateful for the people who showed up with open minds, for the facilitators who poured love into their sessions, and for the conversations that continued long after the workshops ended. It was a rare reminder that learning, listening, building, and breaking things can coexist without hierarchy.

Huge appreciation for everyone who shaped the space this year:
- @animalfactoryamplifications for the DIY synth-building workshop, the electronics deep dive, and that gloriously unhinged tour through distortion
- @polsinus for the pre-history of synthesisers and the performance reflecting on the extermination of bird species
- @abhi_meer for the modular synthesis intro, the mental models for authentic creativity, and a cascade of sharp sessions that kept the room buzzing
- @saimoooone for the mind-bending UNSOUND performance and the behind-the-curtain tech walkthrough
- @rejistry for the surprise experimental turntablism detour
- @pawas_gupta for the endless jams and the beautifully honest session on the inner mind of an artist
- @varundo / @5volts for @switchedonindia, the NID synth explorations, and for hosting with intention

And to @zareenalidesai / @baganfarm for the meals, the care, and the grounding. That was the quiet infrastructure holding everything up.

Captured a few fragments from those days. This is a small love letter to everyone who made that space what it was ♥️

Boos and bleeps @synthfarmindia 2025 💕 🎛️

My first time at Synth Farm! Met so many cute sweet people, participated in unhinged jams, absorbed knowledge about all things electronic music related from compression to creativity, did a bunch of soldering to build a synthesizer from scratch, had endless lols amidst the lush greenery, met the new generation of modular synth makers in the country, learnt about the history of synthesizers in India..

Thank you endlessly @varundo @zareenalidesai for the work you do to create and sustain this incredible community and to everyone I met who dropped knowledge and shared space and feelings 🌸💕🎚️

Left with gorgeous memories and a ton of inspiration for music making. I’m in my workshop era but this one hit different 😍
