Final Course: Chef’s Choice 🪽
SSFA was founded on the goal of promoting sustainable and ethical fashion and art practices.

Chef’s Choice is at the heart and soul of who SSFA is, a collective of fashionistas getting together to play dress up in a mindful manner.

Shopping secondhand clothing gives us the power to be eco-conscious and minimize our environmental impact. Style is individual and a ritual of self expression.

Sorting through the racks is where individual style is born. Challenged to put together pieces never intended to meet, we learn to think outside of the box and spark a kindle to creativity.

Fashion is art. Yes we love couture, and we love our earth too. Let us honor them both. Delight with us in the joy of creation as our seniors and head stylists take the runway, in pieces made entirely of their own secondhand closets.

After all, it is the chef’s choice.

Second Course: The Butcher 🩸
When humans decided to dawn clothes upon their backs, the furs and hides of animals were our only source of survival.

A once necessary and dignified sacrifice, now transformed into a hungry and violent, mass manufactured slaughter.

Wearing fur is no longer a means to survive, but a way to be adorned. Evidence that you can afford the frivolity of savagery. We, as humans, have become desensitized to this issue, disguising each cut behind glamour.

The moral heft of the egregious slaughter of animals, must far outweigh the value of their material beauty. The price of a garment can never outweigh the
price paid in blood.

Disclaimer: As our mission is to raise awareness of this abuse that occurs every day, we reinvent those remnants conscientiously through ethical practices—sourcing secondhand, sustainably, or made from faux alternatives—proving that everything we “need” has already been created.

Further harm need not be done as cruelty-free couture is not only possible, but powerful.
