THE OBSERVATORY’S FINAL WEEKEND

And just like that, we’re (almost) there.

After 13 years, three homes, over 850 artists, countless promoters, crews, residents, friends and many many nights of fun in many forms, we’ve arrived at the end of this chapter.

But before that, we have three nights to bring things to a close.

As is called for, this will be a three-day weekend: Thursday, Friday and Saturday, each bringing a little bit of everything that has made the Obs what it is.

THURSDAY 29 OCTOBER
We kick things off with a stellar lineup of familiar faces across both rooms.
B^2M B2B Kiki Raikkonen, Okaydante, DJ-Örk, Tommysarng, Maham, ItsmeNz B2B Son.of.deSun and Yasmin Ky My B2B Mike.

Local favourites, long-time supporters and people who have shared their magic with us on many a night.

FRIDAY 30 OCTOBER — HANOI ALL STARS
Friday is the turn of our friends from the capital:
AVR, Komga, Taofu, Nam Phung, Taku, Zwi, Techa, Dusan, Di Linh, Lam Dao and Cong have all made the trip down to play the Obs over the years. So we’re getting them together for one last outing.

Enjoy a final taste of the explosive Hanoi-Obs cocktail across both rooms.

SATURDAY 31 OCTOBER — THE FINAL FINAL
For our last night, we’ve put together a lineup that captures something close to a full reach of The Observatory’s story — with a few surprises thrown in.
Anh Vy, BongBongQuayQuay, Vynni, Shhhhh, Alex from Tokyo, Xiaolin LIVE, Park:ING, Omoloko, Hibiya Line, Kin, Nic Ford, Dan Lo, Datodeo and Yokosun.

(Most of) our residents, old friends from near and far, and someone we’ve never had the pleasure of hosting before — together for one last night.

It’s hard to condense what The Observatory has given us over the years into words, or a weekend. But we’ll do our best to pack these three nights with the magic, music, people and encounters that have made these 13 years so special.

Get down and enjoy it with us on all three (or at least two or one). We’ll worry about the goodbye later.

SEPTEMBER AT THE OBSERVATORY

One of the last two months in the place we now call The Observatory.

September is a little different. As we start the final stretch of this chapter, many of the promoters and crews who have helped shape our nights over the years will be joining us for what will also be their final parties here. We’re incredibly grateful for the commitment, care and support they’ve brought to Obs over the years — helping bring their own crowds, sounds and communities through the door.

There are plenty of familiar faces and a few things to look forward to along the way.

On Friday 11 September, Arcan invites Kim Swim (DE) for a special night across both rooms.

On Saturday 12, …isBurning joins forces with Snug at the Obs, throwing a little Amsterdam queer party magic at Saigon — expect high energy, open minds and a dancefloor that doesn’t know when to stop.

Sunday 13 September slows things down for an ambient and downtempo session with Nurture & Liminal Dreams, before Japonism takes over Friday 18 with a lineup of Japanese artists including Katsu Arai, Ryoka Ishii and more, joining some of our local players for a Tokyo-to-Saigon meeting on the dancefloor.

And on Saturday 25, Kimoji returns from Jakarta to take over the Club Room all night long, after absolutely blowing our minds during last year’s Rainbow Disco Club takeover with his feel-good disco energy.

There’s plenty more tucked into the month, of course.

So here we go: come and enjoy the penultimate month of The Observatory with your favourite crews — bring your friends, stay a little longer, and help us fill this place with the sounds, energy and people that have made it what it is.

See you at the Obs

THE OBSERVATORY — THE END OF THIS CHAPTER

After 13 years, three homes, endless nights filled with music and dancing, we have some news to share.

At the end of October 2026, The Observatory will close its doors.

This particular home on Floor 10 of 85 CMT8 has been ours for the last eight years. A place where we’ve watched countless nights unfold — from sunset to sunrise, across the terrace and club room, through packed dance floors, quiet corners, first visits and old friends returning again and again.

Over the years, more than 800 artists have passed through our booths. Some became regulars, some became friends, and others took us on a musical journey we haven’t ever fully returned from.

Behind it all has been an incredible team, with some familiar faces still here from the very beginning, keeping the lights on, the music moving and the whole thing going. And then there’s everyone who has walked through the door over the years — our friends, regulars, dancers, diggers, curious newcomers and loyal night creatures. You’ve given this place its life.

There will be plenty more to say about all of that in time. But not just yet.

For now, we have two months left.
We’ll be announcing the September programme very soon — one of the final two in the place we now call The Observatory.

So stay tuned, come upstairs, have a drink, listen to some music, dance a little, dance a lot, and spend some time with us while this chapter is still being written.

Let’s make these final two months special.

The Observatory deserves a big goodbye.
