Had to run the pumpkin vase back and give you guys some tips on how to do this.

Pick your pumpkin first. It gives you a base and helps you decide on the color palette.

Cut a hole in the top and remove the guts. Some pumpkins aren’t very deep, but that’s ok. Just adjust your stem lengths. Short stems work here.

Use wet floral foam made for fresh flowers. Let it float and soak naturally until fully saturated. Don’t push it underwater. Put a waterproof liner or small container inside the pumpkin to hold the foam and keep it wet. We don’t need to trust the pumpkin to hold water.

You’ll probably need 3 or 4 bunches of flowers. I got 4 and ended up with enough extra to gift a small bouquet to my neighbor.

Build in layers. The mums gave me that bottom layer, and I built my other two layers from there.

Light the candle and catch a vibe to some music while you create.

Tell bae you got dinner this weekend. This Miso Mushroom Chicken Pasta is 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽. I’m not a huge mushroom guy and miso pasta sounds wild, but these flavors were insane.

I saw quite a few different ways to make this but turned it into my own. Had to add chicken so wifey can hit her protein goals. If you set the vibes, this recipe will get it done.

Candle: Vixen by @aniand.co

Recipe: Miso Mushroom Chicken Pasta

Ingredients

• 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
• Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and Cajun seasoning, to taste
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 8 oz baby bella mushrooms, sliced
• 1 tbsp butter
• 2 shallots, finely diced
• 5 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
• 1 tsp Dijon mustard
• 1½ tsp white miso paste
• 5–6 cups low-sodium chicken broth
• 1 lb pasta of your choice
• ½ cup heavy cream
• About 1 tsp light cream cheese
• 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan
• 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
• 1 tsp lemon juice or sherry vinegar, optional
• Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and Cajun seasoning.
2. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through. Set aside to rest, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
3. Add butter and mushrooms to the same pot. Cook until deeply golden, about 8–10 minutes.
4. Add shallots and cook for 2–3 minutes. Stir in garlic and thyme and cook for 30 seconds.
5. Pour in 5 cups chicken broth. Stir in Dijon mustard and white miso until dissolved. Bring to a boil.
6. Add pasta and reduce to a gentle simmer. Stir frequently until al dente and most of the liquid has reduced. Add more broth as needed.
7. Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream, light cream cheese, and Parmesan until smooth and creamy.
8. Fold in chicken, parsley, and optional lemon juice or sherry vinegar. Finish with black pepper and taste before adding salt.
9. Let rest for 2–3 minutes, then serve with extra Parmesan and parsley.
