i still don’t feel like a normal girl most of the time because…i’m not.

i know i’m not.

i don’t know if i’ll ever get there, because i’m not normal even outside of being trans (as if that’s not obvious). i’m not like cis girls, but i’m not like other trans girls either. i’m not like anyone else around me. i’m not like you. and i really wish i was.

but every so often, i’m lucky enough to just– forget that for a moment. it’s hard to express what it’s like; it really is the case where things that are common for most people are genuinely life changing for someone like me to experience. i’d never even heard my own name until this spring.

something simple like dress shopping with my friends and taking pictures in a park together might as well be like living in a new universe. it’s called Gender “Euphoria” for a reason. and in a new universe like that, i don’t have to think about the ways i’m different. even if it’s just for a moment, i get to feel fully like me.

and i’m forever grateful for the people that make me feel that way ✨🩷🩵
