I hate making posts like this, but I’m pretty proud of today.

Ran my first 5K with no training and finished in 2️⃣9️⃣:1️⃣9️⃣ minutes (9:26/mile), pulling off a sub-30 5K time. Then turned around and kayaked 8 miles at Green Acres with friends, so the sunburn was worth it.

Losing 70 pounds has been the best thing I’ve ever done. I’ve never felt more confident, never felt better, and it’s awesome finally seeing all the hard work pay off. Can’t wait to keep working and see how much more I can improve and how many more goals I can achieve. I’ve always believed that if you set your mind to something, nothing can stop you, and today was proof of that.

Can’t wait for the Jingle Bell 5K in December. Going for an even faster time. So glad I got to do this with the best people!
