✨ SEASON 26/27

As we enter our seventh season, we’re building on the programs and partnerships at the heart of Dance//Novella while making room for exciting new work.

Our Emerging Artist Program returns for its third year as we celebrate a major milestone: five years in residence at @polygongallery

Next summer, our Outdoor Dance Experience returns for its sixth year, bringing artists and community together for one of our favourite events of the season. 🌿

This fall, we’re also expanding a duet originally created for the Outdoor Dance Experience, featuring Nevan Boyden and Connor McLeary, with costume design by Donnie Tejanie. The work will make its theatrical premiere in Seattle as part of the 30th anniversary of the @menindance Festival. 🕺🏻🕺🏻

Throughout the season, we’ll continue developing So to Speak, a new solo work by Co-Artistic Director Brandon Lee Alley, leading toward its premiere in June 2027.

And there’s plenty more to come.

We can’t wait to share what we’ve been building and welcome you into Dance//Novella’s 2026/27 season. ✨

🌊 EAP 2026

Yesterday we were back in the studio with David Cooper, so we thought it was the perfect excuse to look back at our last photoshoot together during the Emerging Artist Program this past January.

For this series, we experimented with shooting through an aquarium filled with swirling, coloured water, and the results were nothing short of magical. 🤩

We’re immensely grateful for our partnership with David and can’t thank him enough for all of his generosity and support over the years!
