The dust and mud has settled from R2V and just reflecting on what a great weekend we all had in the desert. Although it never seems to fail that something sets us back before the race and this was no exception. From the chase truck having issues and in the dealership the whole time we were in Reno to smashing the trailer into a telephone pole perseverance and stress was at a all-time high we would have never made the start had @jayhale7531 never found the parts we needed in salt lake and @kerryelynn driving them out to us. Huge thanks to @ramon.j.rivera & @michael.rivera54 for pulling my trailer with me and @muzzy9817 to the start barely in time to stage as the truck was getting finished up. As for the race we had a great pace going making plenty of passes until we lost brakes right before pit 1 and didn’t get them fully resolved by pit 5 putting us down about 45 minutes. Thanks to @fourlow for finding the problem in pit 4 and getting them to work for a bit. We had some new blood on the team this time @matthew_delahunty @jake_delahunty & @anaiddelahunty first time ever at an off-road event and they were our only chase guys and they absolutely crushed it! Welcome to the team boys!!
Thanks to @vitalmotionco for helping cover our first few pits for reassurance and @wannabe_wagon & @the_nunnery for taking care our first fuel pit. (Super quick!) Besides losing brakes for the first half we ran a flawless 2nd half coming in 24th out of 62 in class. We had such a blast ripping through the Nevada desert. This years @bor_racing #whiteknuckle200 was a bittersweet one to say the least. On a good note we won our race and took 2nd overall with absolutely zero issues. On a not such a good note @jayhale7531 will no longer be running races in the car with me. As many of you know he’s got kidney disease the time has come to get a transplant and since I wasn’t a perfect match I’m donating one of mine in 3 weeks to put him in a high priority list to receive a better match (hopefully soon 🤞🏼) After 10 years of in the car together minus a few races I feel like this year everything started clicking and we were hitting all our marks and becoming very fluid together. We’ve got all the bugs worked out on the car and started finishing where we want. Racing is never going to be the same without my dad by my side. Enjoy the great times in life’s journey as the next one is never guaranteed. Special thanks to my parents for giving me so many great opportunities and always supporting my crazy ideas. What an amazing weekend at the @snore_racing #caliente250 we drew out last in class (out of 4) as per usual. We charged hard through the dust first lap (out of 4) to make our way up to 2nd just before main pit. Had a false alarm flat mid loop that set us back a position but caught back up just before lap 2 coming into pits stacked up with our class and bunch of 10 cars. Our team crushed it in the pits and out pitted all of them and started lap 3 with clean air finally had zero issues the rest of the day and ended up 1st UTV and 2nd overall! Couldn’t have been a better race with my dad by my side and hanging out with our team! @bestinthedesert #silverstate300 is in the books as probably the funnest desert race we’ve ever attended! It’s always been my favorite but this year with some new sections made it that much better. We started last place pro UTV (14th) and had our work cut out picking through the pack. By first pit we were first on corrected time and held it all the way to around race mile 220 where we had a random flat. Struggled with the change and lost our lead. We fought like hell to make up the time and got confused on a speed zone we thought was only for the bikes which was in the same area but the wrong one. Caught back up to the lead pack before last pit and stuck in a trucks dust to the finish. We were unofficial 1st until we were informed we sped through a speed zone. Our hearts sank and was given a penalty that moved us to 2nd which was totally fair as that’s where we belonged. @jayhale7531 kept our pace high and on course as usual always a special race when my dads in the car! Congrats to @ssracing18 on the win!! #parkerdam500 What a fun week spent in Parker with family and friends. Definitely one of my favorite places to go racing. We had a perfect run going till the very end. It’s always a heartbreaker when things go south but at the same time I enjoyed every minute of it while it lasted. Sharing the experience with my dad in the car is so special and our small team that busts their ass for whatever is needed on and off the track I can’t thank you enough.

Was finally able to get our play car/ pre runner all finished up and couldn’t be happier on how it turned out. Huge thanks to @theutvpros for bringing my vision to life they do amazing work and can’t recommend them enough for all UTV needs! I left the color up to @jayhale7531 and he wanted gold @armorcoatings nailed it on the powder coat. Time to go have some fun in the desert!
