The Porsche 911S Prototype Monte Carlo | Beginning Porsche’s introduction into a new era for rally racing. Their engineers revised the 911 to reach the limits of the car’s potential, creating a wider and lighter version suited for rally dominance. It’s an honor to be able to give the proper care to a piece of history like this 1 of 3 Porsche factory works vehicles created for the 1970 Monte Carlo Rallye. A full detail, including the engine bay, was in order to remove all debris from the vehicle while preserving the history, being mindful of the OEM stickers. Thank you to our friends at @animoyagarage for bringing in this extraordinary piece of automotive history and placing your trust in our team to preserve it.

It's always a great time getting to see the guys at @animoyagarage and seeing what inventory they have. . This 911S is probably the most significant 911, let alone Porsche I have ever seen in person. This particular 911S was #2 of 3 prototypes for 1970 Monte-Carlo Rally. It was genuinely really cool getting to see this in person, and hearing the history it holds. . “’There is a moment of clarity when a space speaks out to me, then the vision comes in hot as driving into a corner at Road America,’ Dan Cubric types in a Slack message from his office overlooking the Chicago River. That vision is his mental blueprint for a unique annual gallery installation: a vivid super bloom of Porsches bursting through the cracked city streets like autobahn wildflowers. Where those bulbs sprout is up to Dan. Part artist, part engineer, and total Porsche fanatic, Dan Cubric is the architect of the Checkeditout experience. He thinks of the different sections of an event site like stages. The right site has a variety of stages to set. Different environments to place the Porsches in, with opportunities for interactions with natural and artificial light and juxtaposition with architectural details. Checkeditout is designed to be photographed. It’s also designed to inspire connection.
