My second go at costume making XP

Here’s a peek at the spirit for @stilltheyprey_ worn by @aniofstone.

It took some time and craftiness, but it sure was rewarding watching it come to life.

This semester I had so much fun working as On-Set Assistant Director (AD) as well as 2nd Assistant Camera on the most fun set I’ve worked on. @mydawgshort directed by my classmate Henry and some amazing classmates from the School of Cinematic Arts. This crew was so fun to work with, and I learned so much about being an AD and made some awesome friends along the way. Being a part of student film sets is the most special part of being in film school, and I am grateful everyday to study my passion and experience it with hands on projects like this. Thank you MyDawg and see you at showcase!

Ahhh my first Sundance!!☀️
——
A little over a year ago I almost dropped out. A no good relationship ate away at my being, but I couldn’t let them win. So instead I promised myself Id never let anyone take film from me again.

It was wonderful meeting everyone this past week! I did not think I’d talk to as many people as I did. I’m always down for a chat, so don’t be stranger :)

See y’all in Colorado!

I cannot believe 1 year went by this quickly. 2025 was a year of saying yes—to projects, to people, to late nights, long shoots, creative risks, and moments of doubt that turned into growth. I met friends who started as collaborators and became family, and I’m endlessly grateful for every person who shared a set, a conversation, or a vision with me this year. I was lucky enough to be part of so many film projects—each one teaching me something new about storytelling, collaboration, patience, and myself. Some days were exhausting, some were inspirational, and all of them reminded me why I fell in love with filmmaking in the first place. I couldn’t tag everyone but thank you to everyone who trusted me with their stories, showed up with passion, and believed in making something meaningful together. No matter what happens next, no matter how uncertain the path gets, I know one thing for sure: I’ll keep making films. Always.

Before the year ends, I wanted to share one of my favorite moments of this year: the creation of my short film, Last Dance.

It began as a screenplay assignment in 2022. Something small that quietly stayed with me. Over time, it grew into the most meaningful and anticipated passion project of my college career, and I couldn’t have done it without the incredible people who joined me along the way.

In Fall 2024, we pitched the film and got it green-lit. From there, things moved fast: I finished the final script, we gathered our amazing crew, cast our talented actors, prepped props and costumes, created shot lists, and developed the choreography together. Then we brought the story to life on set, shot the film over five days, edited it in a month, and premiered it at the SCA Showcase, where we won Best Cinematography, Best Individual Performance, and received multiple nominations.

Months later, Last Dance was selected for the Hawaii International Film Festival in the University Shorts category. In October, we had our official HIFF premiere and shared the film with a wider audience, celebrating all the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.

I am endlessly grateful for my cast, crew, and everyone who supported us from the beginning. This film gave me more than I ever expected. Friendships, memories, and the chance to end this chapter of my life doing the two things I love with the people who believed in me.

Thank you for dancing with me until the final show 🩰🎬💜🥺
