POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For Sana Arif and Anisha Ali, making history at the 2026 Asian Games was about more than winning medals.

The Pakistani athletes became part of the country’s first women’s triathlon contingent at this continental event in Japan, competing in a demanding sport that combines swimming, cycling and running.

Their journey highlighted the determination of Pakistani women athletes, but also exposed the challenges they face, from limited training facilities and unsuitable equipment to a lack of structured support.

Their message is clear: international success requires more than determination; it requires investment, coaching and opportunities.

🔴 No medals this time, but a first that matters. 🇵🇰 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️
.
Meet Sana Arif and Anisha Ali, part of Pakistan’s first women’s triathlon contingent at the Asian Games. ✨
.
I spoke to them about their experience competing on the international stage, the challenges of representing Pakistan and what it will take to develop the next generation of triathletes. I also spoke to Anisha about her sporting journey and the need for more opportunities for women in sport.
.
Their stories are about determination and breaking new ground, but they also raise an important question: how can we expect our athletes to compete internationally without investing in their training, equipment and development?
.
Because getting to the starting line is only the beginning.

Between trainings, food, and sleep cycles, we managed to escape to see the beautiful sunsets of Nagoya.

2 beautiful weeks Alhamdulilah with the ideal environment and the athletes who deserve to be pushed onwards and upwards.
Days full of trainings, food and anxiety of race day.
I have so much to post and I keep planning to do proper posts for each day but knowing my history of posting, I would rather post now altogether and then spend another 1 year posting the same individually 😁

Asian Games 2026 Team - 🇵🇰 🇯🇵
Been hearing and reading many comments - some appreciating, some trying to put me/ us down.
Sad thing is, those negative comments on WhatsApp groups (that I am part of) and on Instagram, Facebook pages are from athletes themselves and of course, all of them are males LOL! So much jealousy, so much hatred, so much negativity, so many assumptions on selection, without knowing the real story.
We are attacked on the performance, only if they knew what it takes to do a triathlon and especially representing a country who is new to this sport and is still learning to understand what all is needed to bring up a team. Comparisons with my Ironman races are done, only if they knew Ironman and a sprint distance race are different with completely different trainings. It is a rocket science which small minds don’t understand.
But here we are, because of Allah and from the work we have put in, focusing only on positives and letting those negative people burn in their own fire. It is normal to get hate when someone is getting by success so we are happy we got the hate, it’s only going to help us grow more. All thanks to Pakistan, Japan, the athletes we met in Japan who are next level and we learnt a lot from them and the team who even though wasn’t at the level of those athletes never gave up ♥️
