Today I did something I’ve wanted to do for a long time . I hosted a “December Baby” birthday party and invited a few of my friends who have December birthdays. It’s a busy time of year and these holiday birthday are sometimes overlooked, or get doubled with Christmas, so I wanted to make them feel special and to celebrate with each of them. We did a gift exchange where gifts had to be wrapped in birthday paper. We had brunch, we had tea, we had cake (and yes, we all blew out the candles together without contaminating the cake😝), and we had the sweetest time of fellowship. I definitely see this becoming a yearly tradition and hopefully our group will grow. So, if you have a December birthday, comment below and maybe we could get an invite to you next year.
And happy birthday to all the December babies !

after several weeks we finally have our base boards in! we still need to caulk, patch and paint, but we are slowly getting there.

we knew it would be a slow game… we are doing all the remodel ourselves, saving a ton of money by not rushing, while all SEVEN of us navigate a construction zone.

The motivation to knock out some detail work this weekend was encouraged by @mrsanitau and we couldn’t have done it efficiently without the help of @eddieloza tools. Grateful for both!

Are you right? Are they right? Is there a right?⠀
⠀
Isn’t it amazing that two people can be looking at the same set of facts and come out with wildly different perspectives? It could be politics, business, religion and even sports or a book! ⠀
⠀
Do you ever wonder why negative people can’t see the positive and positive people can’t see the negative? It’s not that it’s not there! They just consciously or subconsciously don’t see it! ⠀
⠀
That’s because we see things as WE ARE, not as they are. ⠀
⠀
So, how are we? If we’re hurting, moving slow, or looking at the negative, we’ll tend to see more of that in our own world. However, if you’re winning, moving fast or making progress you’ll see more of that in the world! ⠀ ⠀
I challenge myself all the time to walk on the sunny🌞 side of the street. As I do, I notice the flowers🌷 growing, enjoy the warmth If the sunshine☀️, and tend to smile a little more 😁. ⠀
⠀
Life is short, let’s enjoy the ride as we battle to play our cards better 💪🧩

Ladies. So often we question our choices regarding how we divide our time among family and “work” responsibilities. That back and forth is exhausting and it doesn’t serve us. This book has completely changed the way I think about the use of my hours over a lifetime! I recommend that every woman, regardless of age, marital or parenting status, or current career path, enjoy the blessing that this book offers! “Carpe diem,” my friends! #family #entrepreneur #businessowner
