San Diego Comic-Con was a blast. Geeked out with Guillermo, Green Day and a gaggle of Hall H madness. Long live the memories! #sdcc

A full house for opening night of Getting Real 2026.

The International Documentary Association’s biennial conference kicked off with record attendance, bringing together documentary filmmakers, journalists, funders, and industry professionals from around the world for four days of conversations about the future of nonfiction storytelling.

Following welcome remarks from Executive Director Dominic Asmall Willsdon, Director of Programs and Editor of Documentary Magazine, Abby Sun, and other members of IDA leadership, Indian filmmaker Vinay Shukla reflected on protest, resistance, and the search for new forms of leadership in a changing world. He shared a clip of a community celebrating the arrival of rain after a long drought, drawing a parallel between the hope brought by the first clouds and the possibility of meaningful change.

A great start to the week, with plenty more conversations, screenings, and ideas still to come.

The Golden Globe Foundation has unveiled a new mural at its West Hollywood headquarters, celebrating the people, programs, and partnerships that help advance education, journalism, artistic expression, cultural exchange, and film preservation.

Designed and led by artist Ernie Merlan and the team at Muralism, the collaborative project brought together more than 50 Golden Globe Foundation members, board members, staff, grantees, volunteers, and community participants. Across eight panels, the mural reflects the Foundation’s key areas of support, from film and journalism education to mentoring, press freedom, cultural exchange, and preserving film history.

Muralism is a nonprofit organization that connects people with disabilities to the community through art, creating opportunities for artistic expression, professional development, and meaningful community engagement through public murals and educational programs.

Thank you to Ernie Merlan, Muralism, and everyone who picked up a paintbrush and helped bring this project to life.

The World Cup brought another international crowd to the Golden Globe Foundation today.

Golden Globe Foundation members caught up with grantees from Get Lit, OUTWORDS, and NewFilmmakers LA, who brought a group of interns along to watch France vs. Spain in the semifinal.

The Golden Globe Foundation's collaboration with Muralism saw more than 50 volunteers help paint eight murals for the Foundation's office. Each of the murals represents a different area of our mission, from film restoration and press freedom, through to journalism schools, films schools – and beyond. @muralism_org is a non-profit that connects people with special needs to the community through art. I love how this is now a part of the Foundation's incredible legacy. Thanks to everyone involved.
