A few moments from a work that continues to resonate with me.

Commissioned by ArtPhilly in honor of America’s 250th anniversary, this work was created in response to Martha Graham’s American Document, bringing together artists from the Martha Graham Dance Company and PHILADANCO!

An extraordinary opportunity to engage with history, question inherited narratives, and imagine new possibilities through the body.

Grateful to every artist who helped bring this work to life.

What a journey. What a sacred, complicated, beautiful offering this has been.

Deep gratitude to Martha Graham for creating American Document, a work that opened a door for conversation across generations, histories, and bodies. To be in dialogue with that woman, her legacy has been both an honor and a responsibility.
