✨ imagine a renewed world ✨

How do you find refuge in your daily life?

How do you allow space for joy?

These are some of the questions we pose at every OYA Retreats session. No matter if #softlifesunday an urban or a weekend retreat. We believe that integration is the key.

It is helpful to step away, to get outside the noise to recalibrate. And yet, we have to work to bring the insights and clarity we gain when we step away into our daily lives, our daily routines.

With so much chaos and violence and uncertainty in the world, our capacity to dream of something different, a world built on love and kindness may feel unimaginable. But, that’s the con. It’s absolutely possible and within reach.

take refuge • integrate • dream 💫

RESCHEDULED: Sunday, April 12, 2026, 16:00-17:50 BST

We’re back again for round two—this time online for more ease and accessibility! Are you a South Asian yoga or wellness facilitator in the UK? Join Mitra, a new collective about friendship, collaboration, and the ways we can uplift each other and support our vibrant communities.

Maybe you feel like you don’t belong or feel misunderstood? This is the space to share and commune. Mitra is wellness for the South Asian diaspora by the South Asian diaspora.

It was such a joy to connect in person in January, and we can’t wait to connect with more of you in the coming weeks. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with each other, share your experiences, and help us dream up everything Mitra can be!

This event is free and open to all South Asian wellness facilitators. Please share and tag anyone who might be interested in creating this space with us.

Registration link in bio. Please complete this form even if you cannot attend this meet-up to be kept informed about future events.

As the foundations of @mitracollective begin, as we dream about what this can be, we call on our peers to create through shared associations and connection.

We recently gathered together at @weare_wakingdreams for an enriching afternoon filled with chats over chai, yoga, meditation and to be in receivership of these teachings we are passionate about sharing. Taking this precious time to share and listen to people’s stories as we navigate the world of wellness together through carefully curated reflection questions..

Coming together as South Asians, and in this instance practitioners, a great deal of support and solidarity is felt as we learn from one another and provide unconditional support to others on this path.

We give so much thanks to those who attended this afternoon and contributed so openly and honestly to the discussions. Your thoughts and feelings are very much welcome in this space..

To help us hear from more of you to shape how Mitra can serve all of us, we will be running an online version of this session on Saturday 14th March.. More details to come…
