𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 – 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲?

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: (My favourite topic!)
This particular session gave me absolute goosebumps. 💯 I attended a talk by Professor Sang Muk (Mookie) Lee (Fondly referred to as Korea’s Steven Hawking), who lives with a condition similar to the famous scientist Stephen Hawking after a near-fatal accident 18 years ago, spoke to us through an electronic device. His journey of discovery, doubt, failure, and renewal forced us to contemplate the meaning of life and our existence. His profound reflection: we are not our identity, and we are here for a purpose that we must discover and live with meaning. A truly powerful and transformative session.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Following that, the Minister of SMEs and Startups shared the incredible trajectory of Korean startups, using NAVER Corp (the local equivalent of Google) as a key case study. Her lesson: the development process requires dedication, teaching us how we can foster similar growth in our own countries.

My highlight of the day was also getting the opportunity to connect with Madame Magdalena Sepúlveda Carmona ✨

The evening continued with thematic discussions, pushing our policy document closer to delivery. The objective remains clear: to create policy that guides global cooperation towards a sustainable future 𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 & 𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒕.

Today, we celebrate the life and vision of Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere, a leader who believed in unity, peace, and sustainable coexistence with nature.

His wisdom “Without unity there is no future for Africa” reminds us that collective action and shared responsibility are key to building a resilient, sustainable future for our planet and our people. 🌍

At Geoclimatz, we honor Mwalimu’s legacy by advancing climate action, restoring ecosystems, and empowering communities to live in harmony with nature. 💚
