…and scene

Farewell to the @hideouttheatre downtown location. We’re sad to see you shut down, but hoping y’all come back stronger than ever!

We attended the Final Show last night, which although bittersweet, was a fun send-off. The Hideout was one of the first places we ever went to in Austin, before moving here, and the community has played an instrumental role in all of our films over the past nearly 2 and a half years.

Here’s a (very abridged) look back at our time with @hideouttheatre

1: The Hideout from the outside
2: The beginning of the Final Show
3-5: The owners of the Hideout, @jessicaarjet @heybadrbadr @royjanik - who have offered invaluable time and support to our creative endeavors in Austin
6: Directing a Maestro Raw show, which was one of my first times directing live performance and where we met @tylernetics who would go on to star in @inaworld_film
7-8: On set for @inaworld_film filming in the @hideouttheatre upstairs theatre. The entire cast of this film came from the Hideout community
9-10: District 512, a show directed by @jessicaarjet that we created a promotional video for and did tech
11-12: Time Loop, a show directed by @kegnerland and @redhandedimprov which we both performed in and created a promotional video for
13-15: various performances on stage and pre-show. Between Student Showcases, Maestro and Improvised Movie, @hideouttheatre has been a consistent and fun outlet for creativity and performance over the past few years
16: On set for @watchingkatarina, our feature film in production of which half the cast came from the Hideout
17: A scene from The Final Show last night
18: A scene from the one Maestro Raw I won
19: One last photo in the upstairs theatre
20: the first photo we took in the Hideout, back in December 2023 before moving to ATX
