WFR!! (So delayed, but I couldn’t accept it’s over)

10 days at camp, 1 evacuation, 1 middle school sleepover, 2 days in Oregon, 7 days in Idaho, and a million memories I couldn’t have predicted. This wasn’t MY plan. I didn’t want to leave camp, I didn’t want to go back home, I didn’t want the relationship I felt at camp to disappear. But this was God’s plan, and He knew I needed this. He showed me how to serve outside of camp, be comfortable with the unknown, and not take life so seriously!

Thank you WFR for an amazing session and keeping us and the campers safe during such chaos. Thank you to everyone I met and the impact you’ve placed on my life. I’m forever grateful God lets us share a thin slice of heaven together.

Matthew 6:34
Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

We had a year!
And in just a few days, we are gearing up for another one. If you’re looking for a community or friendship or a place where you can ask questions about who God is, then I hope you find your people at the University of Montana. Young Life College is just one of many places where you might find your people.
Jesus says that even though life with him will have struggles and hardship, he also promises life and life to the full. I think college can sometimes be a picture of that, loneliness, fear, anxiety, failure, excitement, new things, and laughter. This next year may have all those things and we want to be with you through it all.

This month definitely went a little off script, but I’m grateful to be surrounded by people who helped make the best of it!

Our summer was cut 17 days short due to fires near camp. What was supposed to be a month of serving high schoolers turned into evacuating to Madras Middle School with hundreds of campers, then deciding to spend a few more days adventuring around Oregon/Idaho with my summer staffers friends.

Getting to lead this crew as Summer Staff Coordinator was such a gift. I’ve never been more impressed by a group of people. Their willingness to pivot, stay positive, and serve however they were needed was something really special to witness. I’m so grateful for these people and for a month that looked nothing like the plan.

even when i can’t see it you’re working
even when i can’t feel it you’re working

for the last 19 days these lyrics played on repeat in my head. having to send our first week of campers home after 18 hours. then having to evacuate ourselves and our second week of campers less than a week later. but through it all the Lord was our waymaker. during the hour the summer staff and work crew were given to pack up and evacuate, we began worship. singing waymaker. and for the next 48 hours of chaos all we could remind each other is that he is our waymaker. providing for us during both the planned and unplanned times. even though our time was short, the impact these people and this place had on me will last a lifetime. wfr canyon summer staff 2026 always and forever 🫰🏼 #clickclickpullpull

Counting it all joy!

I had the privilege of spending the past 3 weeks out west with these amazing people! Though our time at the ranch was cut short, the Lord was so so faithful through it all! I don’t have the words to describe what this precious time with these people means to me, but I know that I am leaving better because of them! Thank you Jesus for your goodness in the unknown!
