New York City summers activated. The week before Idris’s birthday we joined him on his work trip. In true NYC fashion we just so happened to catch a weekend where alll the things were going on! FIFA events were happening in Times Square right outside of our hotel doors, Jay-Z 30 pop ups launched, Idris’s grandmother turned 90, Champion fighter Boots Ennis was fighting at Barclays, and our favs were able to join. This family vacation was one for the books! #jayz30 #fifa #jaronennis #nycsummer #queensbred

Thank you Babe for the beautiful trip. I know it’s hard to tap into the fun when you’re working. You did your big one organizing everything and driving us around the crazy city because I could neva!

Idris grew up in Queens, I asked him if this is what New York summers tasted like. 🤗

To me soccer is just a sport, but to the world soccer is THE sport. FIFA energy in the city was crazy!!

The amount of joy I have to describe seeing Nolani continuously hug her great Grandmother is indescribable.

Being a tourist is one thing but being a tourist in New York is unmatched.

The world is massive! What brings me joy is sharing bits and pieces of it with my children.

Framing this. Auntie Khalimah was in town for a wedding so glad we got to spend time with her while she was in town.

My Bestie joined us for the fight! We didn’t nearly have enough time together… it’s okay though she’ll be in Chicago soon!

If you’re a boxing fan, this fight was soooo exciting!! This is my second in person boxing match. Crazy to think it was much more entertaining than the Crawford Vs. Canelo fight. We had amazing seats!!

Normalize meeting up in different cities to spend time with the people you love!!

Definitely a right of passage: getting dropped off at an Auntie’s house out of town while your parents gallivant. We’re officially parents. 🎉

Up until our last New York trip, I was unaware of New York having multiple piers to visit! Our second hotel was across from one 🙌🏾

Bryant Park was a total vibe the park for kids was so cute. There was also a FIFA event there hosted by Nike.

It had been years since Idris has seen his grandmother. Let’s just say, God is so good.

Girlfriend trips:

Where “can you take a picture of me” is met with enthusiasm AND a cute picture is actually produced. 🫶🏾

Where Disney music is outlawed and ratchet songs are played on repeat. 👜💵

Where slow mornings are encouraged because our daily obligations force us up daily. 💤

Where we catch up on all the stories/ juicy gossip over shared meals. ☕️

Where morning shots are required. 🎉

Girlfriend trips are for the soul. 🫂

So so sad our trip is over but so so happy we could make another annual GangGang trip happen!! I absolutely love my girls.

A decade of birthdays. Things are different, and some things never change.

2016: In Miami with my Day 1’s. My life was simple - Radio, TV, Chanel bags, friends/family and flights.

2017: A year later - in Columbus: I was a human Air BNB.

2018: A year after that- Living in North Carolina - But a meet up for dinner in Columbus with my village. Simple. Necessary.

2019: Proof- wishes come true.

2020: Pandemic Birthday. Realized everything I needed was inside - literally. Mav is simply my favorite song.

2021: I needed some outside action this year - with my insiders - in Miami- again.

2022: Living in Atlanta - Miami in May - somethin bout it.

2023: Visiting Columbus - Ring Around The Rosie. We all fell down. -not shown

2024: Tulum: Mexico in May has a ring to it.

2025: Puerto Rico: Sometimes you gotta pop out.

2026: Sometimes ya gotta act out. Mav threw 4 TD passes to kick off my day, and I shared space with my some of God babies. Pro tip: don’t blow out your candle -let em burn 💫

“LIFE IS BETTER WITH A FULL BELLY❗️”

▪️So happy to announce…. that all my events now at @rehabtavern will be officially catered by @_cheflea_ aka @anna_leannat from here on out 😮 For years it’s been a struggle to keep good food and a cook around. It’s iffy at best and the staff and family there, are looking to serve you drinks and be best as can. Well they can’t do that, if they gota make food too. So I set out to bust my ass and find a provider of grub, for my live #EveryBodyElses events & #MonthlyMerchMarket dates. After looking hard n long, we now have quite possibly, the best soup food in town! From wings, to greens, to tarots to pasta and more. What the chef provides, yall will fill up n be happy. Can’t wait for yall to check her out so come every 2nd Fridays, second Saturdays, 3rd Saturdays and 3rd Sundays… and get you some real homemade nutrients ✌🏼

❤️ to @prometheuswade @_jeremiah1000 @jayswifa @annie_ozzie Brett Peterman @djtek1s2s & all who filled their stomachs and support local
