⭐️ United States Dancesport Championships 2026 International Latin Rising Star National Finalists ⭐️

Last year was my first time at USDC, and I didn’t advance in any of my categories except the single dance Jive. Qualifying for the 2026 U.S. Open to the World Rising Star Open Gold 5-Dance Finals just one year later, from a robust quarterfinal, is a huge honor!

Before each heat, I said, “well… if this is it, it’s been fun!” 🤷🏻‍♀️ Every time we took to the floor, I was prepared to walk away without any acknowledgement, because our cutthroat industry is so focused on reputation, past results, and the attention economy.

But here’s the year-over-year growth that matters to me:
I am in my highest alignment while I’m dancing. It’s safe to be seen, and somehow it also feels safe to be ignored. I give myself permission to look ridiculous. I’m not hoping for trophies or applause to fill the void. Slow progress is *not* my enemy. I have built an emotionally-resilient interior scaffold I’m really proud of—one that knows the difference between scores and self-worth. I am an artist who serves the art, not the numbers. ✨

I am deeply grateful to my partner and teacher @_nikita_koniukhov_ who encourages my authenticity, my breathwork mentor @laurencheleccafritz for guiding me toward my highest self, my trainer @ncawthon757 who pushes my body to its limits so I can shine in the ballroom, and my physical therapist @jmkq who untangles my web of ailments with care and aplomb.

Congratulations to all USDC competitors for having the courage to try. Thank you to our coaches for believing in us, and our dance fam for their loving support. The season isn’t over yet, and I’m ready for what’s next!
