Black Ice… where do I even begin.

This team was one of the most special things that has ever happened to me. Coaching this team from beginning to end was something I will cherish forever. Many athletes had never competed this level before, never done elite cheer, or never even done All Star cheer at all, yet the amount of growth this team made from day one to now is honestly unbelievable. This team wanted it more than anything.

The laughs, the tears, the hard days, the dance parties, the jokes, the memories, the family we created, the love we shared, every single moment with this team will stay with me forever. Black Ice reminded me exactly why I do what I do. No matter what was asked of them, they showed up ready to work. No complaints. No excuses. Just trust, determination, and heart.

In just TWO weeks, this team completed 30 hit full outs, including both routines at Summit. As a first-year team in a first-year program, they earned a Wildcard Bid to Summit, advanced out of Wildcard Round to Finals while holding FIRST PLACE after Wildcard, and then went on to place SILVER in Finals against 11 incredible teams, beating out 20 teams throughout the entire Summit weekend.

And somehow… they still weren’t done inspiring us.

The day before Finals, this team faced an injury and had to put in a fill-in athlete who learned the entire routine overnight through video. On Sunday, they went out and competed the routine exactly as choreographed, hit their routine, and performed with so much confidence and heart that you never would have known the challenges they faced behind the scenes.

That is resilience.
That is trust.
That is family.

Every athlete poured their heart into this team, and I could not be more proud. Black Ice changed me. You made me a better coach, a better leader, and a better person every single day. I truly hope I impacted you even half as much as you impacted me.

Black Ice, I love you more than you could ever imagine. Thank you for every single moment. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for believing in this dream with me.
BIMME4L forever. 🖤🥶

Black ice,
There are not enough words to express how much of a blessing this team was. This season was hard both inside the gym and in my personal life. But being apart of this team and surrounded by all of the amazing people in the gym made the challenges feel so much easier. There were many late nights, hard practices, tears shed, and especially a lot of laughter. All the hard practices and fun times gave this team a bond that I will cherish forever. Im forever thankful for each and every person on this team. And especially thankful for our coaches who pushed us to be better even though it sucked in the moment. Most importantly I’m thankful for everyone who supported me especially when my biggest supporter couldn’t be there. Black Ice finished 2nd in the nation which is an amazing accomplishment. I couldn’t be more proud of this team. Thank you Black Ice for the most memorable season. #BIMME4L

So incredibly grateful I got to have you all as my coaches. Not only was I going into a new gym but I was going into a new family. You all made me such a better athlete and someone who is proud of themselves

Bri,
You absolutely changed my whole perspective on cheering. You made it so much easier to walk into my practices. Not only did we have a great bond as a coach and an athlete but you become my big sister/ idol. I have never looked up to someone so much as I do now, you are the absolute best person I could’ve ever met. My thought of not doing cheering next year has completely changed because of you. I am so incredibly proud of you for what you have built, not just for creating an all-star gym but for creating a home for everyone. I love you so much and can’t wait for next season.

Anna,
Thank you. Thank you for being the absolute best. When I had that one bust in my tumbling I gave up on myself. But you didn’t. You pushed me through it. I am so proud of you for all your accomplishments and achievements. You have pushed me to want to be like you. I am so wowed at how you did it. Both owning a gym and becoming a NCA champion. You beyond blow my mind every day. I will miss this season that we made work together, but I am so ready for season 2. I love you so much!

Kassandra,
When I first walked into that gym I was really scared of how it was going to go, because everyone knew everyone and I didn’t know many people. But you instantly laughed with me and I knew that was going to be an everyday thing. You have been such an amazing coach but also friend. I love the connection that was built between us and the push and drive you gave me. I know we only have known each other for a lil less than a year but it feels like 20 years. You’re such an inspiration to me and everyone else. I can’t wait to spend my second season with you!

Sarah,
You have been there for me since day one. The day I walked into my first all-star practice. You are the absolute loving person and I won’t ever forget that. You have cared and been there for me for so many years. Thank you for helping me pass my mental block and my fears! See you next season beautiful!!!🔒💕
