My watch told me it was 10 km when we finished.

A moderate hike with lots of ups and downs, some scramble, a steep part where you needed to use a rope, but you are deeply rewarded with waterfalls and the river beside you along the way.

This hike with my son & my besties was one of the highlights of my summer. 🌲

Adagio consists of a set of essential movements that form part of the classical ballet training syllabus. Later, students will encounter these very movements in many classical ballets.

What interests me most, however, is how each dancer understands and feels them, and how each person searches for something of themselves within these movements. That is what makes every interpretation unique.

This video was filmed in 2023—a very difficult year—and this class remains especially close to my heart. Every student here is a remarkable individual, with their own character, their own perception of movement, and their own way of experiencing adagio. ❤️ Love you always, beautiful talents!

Among the students were two young dancers from Ukraine who became especially dear to me. One of them was from Mariupol. In the very Drama Theatre where the word “CHILDREN” had been written in huge letters in the square outside the building, her friends were among those who lost their lives while sheltering from the bombardment.
