“Mama, they’re open all day. We don’t need to rush.” 🥹

And just like that, my 6-year-old reminded me to slow down.

Today was one of those rare days with nowhere we needed to be. Yet somehow, I found myself getting frustrated because she wasn’t ready to move on from crafting when I was.

And she was right. What was the rush?

I’m learning that meeting our kids where they are sometimes means slowing down enough to enter their world instead of constantly asking them to keep up with ours.

For my girl, crafting is a love language. It’s where she feels connected, where conversations flow naturally, and where some of our sweetest moments happen.

So we slowed down. We crafted together. We talked. And I was reminded that sometimes the most intentional parenting happens when we stop trying to get to the next thing. 🤍

What are some of your kids’ love languages? I’d love to hear!
