When October arrives, it brings a stone that refuses to choose a single color. Opal holds the whole turning year inside it: the green of late summer leaves not quite ready to let go, the amber and scarlet of maples catching fire, the pale blue of a cold morning sky, and the violet hush of dusk coming earlier each day.

Tilt it in your palm and the colors shift the way the season does, a flash of gold where a moment ago there was only milk-white mist. It’s a kaleidoscope cut from earth and rain. Ancient water seeped through stone and left behind these tiny spheres that scatter light into a hundred small autumns.

Opal is a stone of change, and October is a month of change. Both remind us that beauty doesn’t stay fixed. It moves and breaks apart and gathers again in a new shape. Those born under its glow carry that same restless brilliance: never just one thing, always some new color waiting to show itself.

When the forecast turned into a full-blown storm, plans changed, then changed again, and these two just smiled and said, “Okay, what’s next?” No panic, no stress. They were so relaxed and gracious with every pivot that the whole day felt calm even while the wind howled outside.

Their guests felt it too. Everyone came ready to celebrate two people they adore, and the love in the room easily outshone the weather. Rain on the windows, a packed dance floor, and a night nobody will forget.

And a huge thank you to the vendor team who made the impossible look effortless. Every one of you showed up, adapted, and delivered in the middle of a storm. 🙌

There’s a particular kind of euphoria when every detail of a wedding clicks into place.

This dance floor installation was a first for us: a double-hoop structure suspended overhead, woven with Edison bulbs and a deliberately limited palette of lime, butter, and lemon.

Graphic. Playful. A little unexpected.

And every time we revisit these images, we’re reminded that the best designs are rarely the work of one person. They’re the result of a wildly talented team, a shared vision, and a whole lot of trust.

We’re pretty proud of this one. And even prouder of the group of people behind it.

Married in Osterville ✨

Cape Cod has always been home to Justin. It didn’t take long for Eleanor to fall in love with it, too.

Their wedding celebrated everything they love about the Cape, but with a twist. Rather than leaning into the expected, we infused the design with personality, thoughtful details, and a fresh perspective that felt uniquely theirs. The result was a celebration that honored the place that brought them together while telling their story in a way that was timeless, elevated, and completely unforgettable.
