My beautiful girls and some of their sweet friends before prom. (Part 1 😂.) I just wish I could bottle the joy you bring to me and share it with the world.

Here to brag for a moment. Sorry, not sorry. This weekend my daughter, Ella, and her theater troupe took the play she wrote to the NCTC theater competition. She worked so hard on this play and they all performed it beautifully. Her friends really came through and they all shined on stage and are the most talented group of kids I know. She also happened to play one of the main roles…named Meagan. 😂 The crowd absolutely LOVED it. During the awards, she was selected for one of two excellence in technical theater and production awards for her role as playwright for this piece. This comes with a paid “scholarship” to NCTC college day where she will be able to audition for lots of top notch theater programs and continue exploring her interest in writing. Additionally, Anna won an award for excellence in lighting design for her role in the production. She is so good at what she does and it definitely makes the difference between an okay and a great performance! I’m am so incredibly proud of them both. They continue to amaze me. Also a quick shout out to Zack Ledbetter who won an award for acting as his role as Owen. Such a talented young man! I couldn’t be happier with this group and the awesome things they continue to do together! Now on to spring musical practice! ❤️🙌🏼

This sassy middle child of mine is starting her junior year today. Anna Catherine, you make me so proud. You’re hard working, ambitious, kind, authentic, smart, and fiercely loyal to those you love. Those are not characteristics that are easily attributed to 16 year old girls but you are wise beyond your years and self aware in a way most teenagers aren’t. You amaze me everyday. We love you so very much and I want this year to be your best yet! Keep being you because you’re incredible. ❤️💙
