There are moments in life when you are given almost nothing to go on.

During COVID, Gio saw Anna for the first time. She was wearing a mask, like everyone else was in class, and so he could see only her eyes.
And still, he took a chance.

It seems to me that this is how the extraordinary parts of our lives often begin… not with certainty, but with a small act of courage. A glance. A conversation. A door we almost didn’t open.
Because love doesn’t always find its way to your lap and introduce itself.

Sometimes you have to get up from the chair.
Sometimes you have to walk toward the unknown, risk looking foolish, risk being disappointed, risk discovering that what you hoped for wasn’t there at all.
But sometimes it is.
Sometimes, behind a mask, there are two eyes that change everything.
Gio took a chance on Anna.
The moments that become our most treasured memories rarely announce themselves when they arrive. We don’t know, in the moment, that we are standing at the beginning of something that will one day mean everything.

We only know that something inside us says, go.
So we go.

And sometimes, years later, we look back and realize that the greatest risk we ever took was also the moment our life became something more than ordinary.
All because one man saw a pair of striking eyes behind a mask and decided they were worth the risk.

So cheers to Anna and Gio, may they continue to always take risks on their love, to never stop opening the door, and having the courage to discover what might be waiting on the other side.

There is something wonderfully human about the Joslyn Museum.
The old stone and blush pink marble looks like it took a lifetime to make. Every corner fussed over by hands that believed generations of beauty was worth the trouble. And beside it sits the newer architecture, all glass and clean lines and modern confidence. Somehow, they don’t argue.
They make each other better.

Which is what love is supposed to do.
Two people arrive carrying different histories, different scars, different ideas about where the furniture should go. And if they are lucky, they spend a lifetime learning how to fit all those differences together until the strange old parts and the beautiful new parts become one home.

@annacortave and @gio_cortave your wedding film is being edited now. Until then, enjoy this!
