POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A lot has happened over the past year.

It turns out, in every moment of every day we get to choose how we want to respond and, through this, we form a reciprocal relationship with life.

The question isn't "Why is this happening to me?" but, "What can I learn from this?"

Having a joy-filled life isn't about never getting upset or never having to endure difficult things, it's about deciding what you want to define your life.

You get to decide to let the imagined opinions of others stop you from expressing yourself as fully as you can, or you can decide to stay focused on being true to you.

More than anything these are reminders to myself. All of this has been a continual learning lesson for me.

I'm grateful for the transformations of this past year of life and am ready to embrace a new year of life with more intentionality.

4/13/26 - Imperial County Town Hall meeting to stop the A.I. Data Center in El Centro.

Last night the power of community was on full display. As hundreds gathered to discuss the next steps in the ongoing battle against the A.I. Data Center proposed for the Imperial Valley.

It was informative, inspiring, enlightening, and therapeutic, with some cathartic moments of crying (totally not me 🥲) as well. It was so healing to see the determination and unity of everyone present. No one wanted it to end. In fact, we had to be kicked out. Politely. Twice. First at the Old Eucalyptus Schoolhouse, when they closed, and again later at the restaurant where we had dinner afterward.

...It's those moments of lingering in the cold parking lot, after the restaurant has closed, and no one wants to be the first to say goodbye, or leave the group, when solidarity expresses a love and comradery that keeps me energized, engaged, and eager for the next round. 🪧

I thank all my Comrades in Imperial County for being such kind, admirable, and welcoming Hosts to your neighbor from up the Mountain. 🤠♥️✊🏼 It's an honor to join you in La Causa, y en esta lucha para la justicia.

Nos vemos pronto.
