I watched the movie Nonna’s last night, and wow… it took me straight back to Brooklyn. The food, the yelling over each other, the love—it felt like home.

Growing up Italian was something else. Sunday sauce that simmered all day, Nonna yelling at you to eat more even when you were already full, and somehow everyone fit in the kitchen. Watching that movie brought me right back to those moments… the kind you don’t realize are the best times while you’re in them.

It made me miss those little things—my Nonna’s voice, the way she’d hand you a plate like it was her love language, the chaos that somehow felt peaceful.

If you were raised anything like I was, you know those memories stick with you forever.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas and Nonnas who gave us the kind of love you never forget.

I really miss everyone ❤️🥹
