We had a fun change of direction day! Things we focused on were, staying on your toes, sinking our hips and exploding out.

Semis were amazing! All the girls played their hearts out.
Great team effort and so fun to watch!
Both clips are different views of Mika's beautiful goal with Sierra bringing the ball down.

One more game to go !!! 🏆

Reaction + Direction + First Touch drill 🙌🏽🙌🏽 The passer yells out direction (Man on, turn or time) and the player working reacts and has a first touch based on the direction given.

These girls killed it. Great turns, great first touch!

Both at 5-0 in region play, @maplemountain_girls_soccer won a thriller in PKs vs Wasatch HS last night!

The Golden Eagle defense and midfield and goalkeeper @anyalyngulley were able to shut down the normally explosive Wasatch offense.

And despite a multiple shots on goal by our offense,
the game remained tied 0-0 through regulation and 2 OTs to go to deciding penalty kicks.

In PKs, our shooters outshot Wasatch in PKs 6-5, including a stop by Gulley on the 6th WHS PK for the all important region win!

The basics can be boring. I get it. But dang it if they aren’t effective and truly help a player master their touch and ball mastery at any level!

"I am a member of a team, and I rely on the team. I defer to it and sacrifice for it, because the team, not the individual, is the ultimate champion. ~ Mia Hamm
