A Solstice Gathering with Zakia Sewell
To mark the height of the season, we hosted a summer solstice gathering with broadcaster and author Zakia Sewell.

The afternoon unfolded outdoors in Phoenix Garden, guided by communal rituals and inspiring conversation among new friends and long-time collaborators.

Alongside a reading by Zakia, banjo player Bianca Wilson and songwriter Angeline Morrison, both founding members of the Black British Folk Collective, performed folk songs.

I’m still glowing from the loveliest celebration @gurnardshead last Thursday. Name me another book launch that has incorporated a 5pm cow commute

It was such a treat to finally meet Claire, thank you for all your words of encouragement and to meet @gurnardshead landlord Charles. Make sure you visit the pub if you’re in Penwith, it’s the best!
