Eden Roc, Punta Cana 🤍🌴

Truly a trip of a lifetime! We stayed in a villa about a 3-minute golf cart ride from the main resort, and everything about this place was just unreal.

The views, the experience, the food, the service, the time spent with our people… just SO good. One of those trips you know you’ll be talking about for years.

Thankful doesn’t do it justice.

Shoutout to @travelupannaway!!

Sometimes it’s the place.
Sometimes it’s the people.
And sometimes, it’s the people you’re lucky enough to be placed with in that place. 🤍

Family for life.

unpacking from: @pure_theshow ✨

I think the best way to sum up the week is to share an excerpt from the note I sent to the team behind it:

“After nine years in the travel industry, and especially after watching it grow so rapidly over the past few years, it was incredibly refreshing to be surrounded by suppliers and advisors who genuinely care about moving travel forward in a positive and meaningful way.

PURE reminds us that this industry isn’t simply about booking the grandest penthouse, the largest yacht, or the most impressive villa. It’s about the people behind the experiences: family-owned properties that remain owner-managed, businesses using their resources to do good, and advisors who want to champion and sell that kind of travel.

There is truly no other conference like PURE. What you have built is spectacular, and I hope you receive many notes like this because you and your team deserve to know how much it means to the people fortunate enough to attend.”

weeks like this matter and there is something incredibly energizing about being surrounded by people who are still so curious about the world, who care deeply about how people experience it, and who genuinely want to keep pushing travel forward in a meaningful way.

I came home with a raspy voice but incredibly inspired, creatively recharged, and very grateful to be part of an industry that still has so much left to discover! link in bio for us to start dreaming together #upannaway

Last day in Panama!

Started the morning with boot camp, followed by a slightly rough boat ride out to a remote tropical island: iguanas, oh-so-many fishes, coral reefs, and the kind of palm tree + white sand scenery that makes the journey there very much worth it.

From there, another memorable lunch at one of the three stunning villas at the reserve, this one featuring tuna tiradito and lobster rolls… of which I may or may not have eaten four.

Dinner, as always, was amazing, but this one was a little special: a tasting of some of Panama’s finest rums paired with local chocolates, followed, because why not?, by a pizza dinner prepared by two Italian chefs.

In many ways, our last day felt like a microcosm of everything we’ve experienced in Panama over the past couple of weeks: extraordinary food in extraordinary hotels and villas, some of the kindest and warmest service in Central America, and that rare sense of exploration: discovering unknown and wonderful places that people are hungry to experience for themselves.

And a special note to the group: thank you for indulging all our little surprises along the way, from helis to boats and for turning every one of them into nothing but laughter, stories and adventures.

Day 3
Another day of contrasts. We started with a whale-watching adventure, followed by a frustrating but completely expected—non-fishing session. It’s now been 10 years since I caught my last fish. The fish gods have abandoned me.

The afternoon slowed to a more relaxed pace after what may have been the biggest lunch ever. To end the day, we enjoyed a wonderful surprise: a glimpse into Panamanian movement and culture. Surrounded by live music and traditional songs, we played in the country’s beautiful traditional attire and learned a little about the history of this remote little corner of paradise.

We woke at break of dawn and begrudgingly left our perfect beds for a morning of exploration, lighthouses and whales. We tried deep sea fishing for tuna as well but someone is unfortunately cursed and cannot fish for the life of me ever since I offended that trout in Patagonia by catching him with my hands.

Day 12 of Panama

I’ve been wanting to visit this place for the longest time. We flew into the stunning Reserva Panamaes, one of Panama’s best-kept luxury travel secrets. Set across more than 600 acres of private nature reserve with just three residences on the property, it’s as good as it gets.

Here, you’ll find pristine beaches, whale watching, horseback riding, biking, hiking, fishing (except when I’m ruining the fishing), tennis, hikes and endless ways to play in nature. It’s one of the very few places I’ve visited that balances complete privacy, adventures galore and a warm and fuzzy connection to the natural world, while delivering a level of hospitality and service that pampers every whim. Big hearty family style meals that will impress any foodie.

We’re spending three nights here, and I can already tell you that won’t be enough.
