Ever wonder about the people to whom books are dedicated? Meet my swim pod, which I (and I alone) like to call the Water Baybies. These are the wonderful humans who brave the bay with me, day in day out, twelve months a year. Together we’ve faced freezing temperatures, wind, waves, fog, and inquisitive seals. We’ve seen countless sunsets and sunrises from an aquatic vantage point and plenty of full moons too. , Through it all, we have had a guaranteed hour of joy each and every time. Deep Blue was written with all of that in mind. I am so lucky to have these folks in my life!
