Festival of the Dead Exhibition opens @woodfieldpavilion today from 12 noon.

You are welcomed to join this celebration of the darker season this October and the richness of stories.This evocative collection of works by local artists explores the shifting boundaries between light & dark, ancient magic, the fragility of life, root & bone and all things gritty and mystical.

We invite you to look a little closer, embrace the shadows and discover beauty in the unknown.

This exhibition leads into our very popular Festival of the Dead event and is also part of the Streatham Festival Art Trail .

ОЛЕШКИ. ОКУПОВАНІ РОСІЄЮ З 2022 / OLESHKY. OCCUPIED BY RUSSIA SINCE 2022
Люди тікали на чому могли. У 2023-му — на дахах і човнах після підриву Каховської ГЕС. Зараз — пішки через заміновані поля.
З 24 тисяч до війни в громаді залишилось близько 6000 людей, серед них 180 дітей. В самому місті — близько 2000.
З весни 2026 — гуманітарна катастрофа. Продукти не завозять, виїзди заміновані. У вересні лише 65 людей змогли вийти через мінне поле. Їжу доставляють тільки дронами — 4000 кг скинули 27 вересня.
Ми не мовчимо.

People fled on whatever they could. In 2023 — on rooftops and boats after the Kakhovka dam explosion. Now — on foot through minefields.
From 24,000 before the war, about 6,000 people remain in the Oleshky community, including 180 children. Around 2,000 are still in the city itself.
Since spring 2026 — a humanitarian catastrophe. No food supplies, all exits mined. In September only 65 residents managed to escape through a mined field. Food can only be delivered by drones — 4,000 kg were dropped on Sept 27.

We will not be silent.

I am honoured to present Take a Seat, a curated showcase featuring over 30 remarkable chairs within the store’s newly unveiled retail destination, 125, and within the first-floor international fashion department.

125, the newly reimagined ground floor at @HarveyNichols Knightsbridge, is a flexible and inspiring space featuring both new and established innovative talent.

In collaboration with @PAD_London, the leading fair for historical and contemporary design, Take a Seat celebrates both design icons and emerging talent.

Alongside the curated selection we have installed a ‘Makers Wishing Wall’, spotlighting creatives and makers from across the United Kingdom. It features makers & designers from QEST (Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust), Heritage Crafts, Sarabande Foundation, Cockpit Studios, and many independent makers. The Makers’ Wishing Wall includes 2,500 printed names; creative talents from around the country underlining the breadth of makers in the UK and the importance of supporting them.

I would like to thank the galleries, designers, the entire team at Harvey Nichols, and my studio team for supporting this vision.

A Georgian restaurant in Dulwich, London—premises previously occupied by a Scottish butcher who had a thing for lavish thistle tiling and his name in mosaic. The meal was lavish too, involving cheese and walnuts, khachapuri (a bread base with cheese and an egg, stirred before scarfing), trout/beef/lamb/etc, honey cake, wine. Huge thanks to @Anna for that dinner and for hosting us in artistic splendor at their Clapham home. She also hosts foxes, though Boudicca, mama fox, recently relocated her den, so the kits weren’t around. But Scruffy still lives here and Boudicca came for a visit. And I’m still amazed that the UK has wild parakeets (descended from pets that went native).

(Last week) London again, sunshiney again, scurrying between London Bridge, Borough, and Bermondsey. Tapas with @Anna and FOC—a sparkling undergrad reunion—then running into the compliments comedian in the purple smoking jacket (Troy Hawke, TikTok famous apparently) (I can’t recall how he complimented us though no doubt it was lavish and on point). Then to the White Cube gallery for a Richard Hunt retrospective. His metal sculptures were heavily influenced by the US civil rights movement, including the funeral of lynching victim Emmett Till, which Hunt attended as a teen. He created Hero’s Head (photo by Anna) in honor of Till. Then to the Tate Modern for the celebration of Leigh Bowery, who exerted a vibrant influence on ‘80s art, fashion, and club culture in Britain. We are happy to announce the opening of our annual members show SALON/24.

This exhibition showcases the work of our growing community, with this year holding the work of 86 Photofusion members! The work ranges in theme and encompasses almost every genre we can think of.

We are delighted that the first show in our new, long-term home is of the very people who form a core of our users.
