“I don’t know how you do it all.”

Honestly, most of the time my answer is something along the lines of, “I don’t know either… I’m crazy apparently.” 😂

A few weeks ago, a dear friend who has been with me through a lot of this year said, “I know I’ve been around you all year, but I didn’t realize..this is like… a lot.” 😂

And it made me laugh because she’s right. The traveling, competing, running a business, keeping up with all the horses, being a wife, and doing it all with a toddler in tow… it IS a lot.

But the real truth is, I don’t do it all.

I have a really incredible village.

A team of people who show up, pick up the pieces, and step in when I can’t be in two places at once. A husband who is my biggest support. Family, friends and incredible clients who help with the toddler. A barn team who makes it possible for me to step away. Owners who trust me, sponsors who believe in me and so many people behind the scenes who care about what we’re building.

And I think that’s why sometimes even the people closest to me don’t realize just how much it actually takes—because I’m so lucky to have people who make the “a lot” feel possible.

Some days it’s definitely organized chaos… or disorganized chaos 😂 But I’ve learned that doing big things doesn’t mean doing everything yourself.

It means surrounding yourself with really good people.

So when you ask me, “How do you do it all?”

The real answer is: I don’t. We do. 🤍

And I’m so incredibly grateful for my village.

(Ps. Too many to tag 😂)

Just like that another event finished! This past weekend at Bayou Gulch was a very successful event filled with so many accomplishments. With riders getting personal bests in dressage, most finishing on their dressage score, pairs completing their first event together, ribbons decorating all our stalls and smiles after every round.

Taking 16 horses to any event is no easy task, especially with two events in one day but our trainers were on top of it in and out of warmup, speeding on golf carts and still taking time to work with every rider. We owe these accomplishments to them and all the support behind the scenes!

Now for results! ⭐️
Anna + Fernhill Primrose: 🥇in Open Modified
Anna + Fernhill Colano: 🥇 in Open Training
Rowan + Fernhill Muse: 🥇 in Training Rider
Bea + Surelock: 4th in Training Rider
Alex + Peanut: 7th in Novice Rider
Cece + Fernhill Dreams Come True: 10th in Novice Rider
Madi + Tre: 8th in Beginner Novice Rider
Jenn + Foxtrot Todd: 9th in Beginner Novice Rider
Tessa + Lassban Sansa: 4th in Junior Beginner Novice
Rhya + Silver Lining: 5th in Junior Beginner Novice
Zoe + Goodness Gracious: 🥇 in Starter
Cora + FR’s Showgirl: 5th in Starter
Ruth + My Kinda Party: 8th in Starter
Jessica + Prince Eric: 5th in Introductory

Carley + Echo Key are growing their partnership at the starter level, ending with an unfortunate elimination after pulling yet another beautiful dressage test.

Madi + High Voltage are learning to adjust to the ring. Madi is teaching this baby all the steps to eventing at his first recognized show which sometimes comes with an unexpected dismount.

⭐️ Shoutout to Zoe and Cora for completing their first full event on their dressage score, both putting on two amazing double clear rounds! We wish you luck on your move up to Beginner Novice at Archer next week.⭐️

And of course every amazing photo here was taken by the one and only @skipperdoodlefritz thanks for capturing all our best moments!

More content to come from this show shortly!! Now onto the Event at Archer 🐎

So much goodness to unpack from our crazy weekend at @bayougulchhorsetrials and so many highlights with the incredible team of 16 horses and 15 riders we took.

However at the top just has to be this boy taking 🥇 in his Training level debut. I really just wanted a positive weekend where his education and confidence increased. And even though I know that he’s capable of the top placings that was pretty close to the bottom of my goal list for the weekend. So to hold the top placing on his dressage score all the way through to the end was absolutely just icing on the cake.

The road has been slow with this horse (maybe that’s my specialty 😂). From finding out I was pregnant just over a month after we bought him to truly having to learn how to ride (and manage) his MASSIVE stride this one has taken time. But he can have all the time he needs 💕

Huge shout out to the incredible ladies behind the EventHers Syndicate for believing in my dreams and being crazy enough when I randomly called them from Ireland about a horse I had zero plans of trying but now was in love with. This sport and life doesn’t exist without incredible people like you 💕

Grateful as well to the brands who keep us going
