#TIFF The Rising Star by ChicArt PR event was a huge success during the Toronto International Film Festival. We celebrated our #RisingStarProgram alumna @annegirouxgrx. Actors, filmmakers, financiers, journalists, producers, writers and festival programmers attended. The venue was packed and it reached capacity very quickly. 1100 RSVP’s and we had to only let in 200. The lineup on King Street West was insane. We will do this event again next year and at other festivals and market to celebrate our alumni and bring awareness to our workshops and labs. @tiff_net begins with the classic Young Filmmakers Party - quickly becoming one of our favourite events to see beloved friends and fellow creators.

So much fun we barely had a chance to take pictures. Shoutouts to @les_woo_ jewelry that supports filmmakers by @morgan.davidoff and @kendrickttran

Thank you to the amazing team who created this event, and the beautiful people who show up to make it amazing 🙌🙏❤️

The Cannes’ edition of the Rising Star Program has come to an end, and we’re proud to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of our 2025 Cohort.

Throughout the program, our Rising Stars received customized mentorship and market coaching, followed by a tailored itinerary that included 1:1 meetings with decision-makers, access to highly curated VIP events, Red Carpet gala tickets, publicity, media interviews, a portrait photoshoot, opportunities to showcase their work at the Marché du Film and beyond. Their achievements speak for themselves:

@gans_andrew received four offers for his directorial debut feature film VOICES;
@linjie06 and @danicah.waldo ‘s respective short films received three selections each resulting in 3 screenings of their work at Cannes. Linjie won Best Student Short Film, with Chasing Jupiter, at the @frfilmfestival and Danica Waldo received four awards for her @sallygetthepotatoesfilm at the Diversity in Cannes Film Festival;
Charlotte Quayo Zhi had the opportunity to meet her favorite director @wesandersonfc ; @kristinaklebe and @byronclohessy received two film sales offers for their first feature NOXTURNE, and much more! 👏

@chicatronica, the founder of the Rising Star program would like to thank our project manager @sonia.pharand for her extraordinary dedication and hard work, as well as our official photographer @behindmycamera_ and our interns Emma and Rafa.

The Rising Star Program by ChicArt PR is designed to advance the careers of filmmakers and actors in tangible ways. Whether it’s career coaching, VIP access to exclusive events, market awareness, film deals, festival & PR exposure, or direct connections with decision-makers, our goal is to create momentum that lasts.

Applications for upcoming initiatives, including our fall High Performance retreat for actors and filmmakers are now open. We will also be present at TIFF 2025.

For those asking if the RAINBOW was real 🌈

Drive to #arenal area with me where I saw the most perfect #rainbow of my life and listened to my #podcast @chooseahappyday during the drive with @annegirouxgrx .

Such beautiful scenery in this area of #costarica

Listen to how my day started and let’s get this girl a record deal!

I met @annegirouxgrx at the retreat I photographed last week and she was kind enough to give me a ride to my condo in Lake Arenal.

After an 11-hour travel day last night and adventure getting the car stuck in a mountain and needing to be towed up, she crashed at my condo.

I made us breakfast and as I was packing up for a grocery store trip she started singing this song which is so perfect for me!

I am so happy I met you Anne! We had a fabulous Thelma & Louise adventure I will always remember.

Give Anne a follow, I have no doubt her talents will bring her fame soon!
