--

In the exhibition "Zwischen Bäumen", summer follows spring. 🌳

Here, too, we see through the juxtaposition of centuries that few motifs have had as much influence on art history as the forest. His meaning changed with the social ideas of his time.

In the early modern art, it appears as a setting for biblical and mythological stories. Since the 19th century, century, he was perceived as a work of art in its own right – in the German-speaking world closely associated with the growing national myth, industrialisation, rural exodus and the increasing alienation from nature. 🍃

Einmal kurz durchatmen. 🌳

...

A little moment to catch our breath. 🌳

Since our preview opening the Saturday before last, we’ve had another opening, a listening session, the Kammerorchester Potsdam, Open Monument Day, and a jazz concert with Mió Ma – and oh yes, Berlin Art Week somehow happened in between, too. 😮‍💨

All the more reason to take a moment and look back through the photos from the preview opening of “Zwischen den Bäumen.” Once again, it was such a wonderfully warm, slightly wild, and very special evening: full of beautiful encounters and conversations, familiar and new faces, and an atmosphere we really couldn’t have wished for more.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated, looked, talked, drank, and made the evening what it was. 💚
