Our favorite BSB @jaimifaulkner performed at the lovely @rosendahlkaffee in Ratingen yesterday so of course a roadtrip was in order! Frontrow seats are always fun at his shows, the joy on stage is infectious and the crowd could feel it too.♥️ We took some coffee to go, already looking forward to the next one! Thanks for a fun night Mr Faulkner!

My favorite BSB (Belgian Sad Boy) @milomeskens released his 2nd album ‘Quarter Life Crisis’ this week!
Last Saturday he rocked @tivolivredenburg together with his awesome band @emiliodetemmerman @emeulenbergs

After showcasing a lot of the awesome songs of the album he played a magical version of ‘A Letter & Twenty Different Songs’ in the middle of the crowd.
Happy I got to introduce another friend to new music ♥️Thank you for an amazing evening Milo, let’s do it again soon! #newmusic #sadboy #newalbum #quarterlifecrisis #vinyl

Last Thursday I had the absolute pleasure to watch @milomeskens blow away @paradisoadam with his crazy talent and amazing songs! Together with his band and some die hard fans he showed NL what they’ve been missing! Live music at it’s best, come back soon Mr Meskens! Go and have a listen, his new album was just released ‘A Letter’ and the single ‘A letter & twenty different songs’ is a real earwurm😉🔥

When a 3-concert roadtrip can’t happen last minute and you decide to make it a citytrip around your hometown instead and take @jaimifaulkner with you anyway 😉❤️

This painting was quite a challenge because the material I was working with wasn’t great, the cover was very smooth and it needed a few layers. Also making two of the same portraits is never easy and this was a first for me so I’m not dissapointed for a first time (I couldn’t be because I gave it away as a present so I had to be satisfied with it). Yeah, I am happy with how it turned out!

🎨 Week 18 (last week)
This week I was showcasing (for two days) my final assignment at the exhibition that held place for art school
.
Today was the last day and I also got to hear that I passed, I graduated from artschool!! It feels so good to know they loved my work and the meaning behind it
.
I’m sad it’s over tho. I had a blast the last 5 months and I’d do it all again if I could!!
.
See the difference between the photos; the first one was taken today after I heard I passed and the second one was from yesterday

So yesterday was the opening/celebration for reaching the highest point of a new building where I’m following classes at at the art school. For this we made a wallpaintig and my painting is featured in a newsarticle, how awesome! (Sadly there have been no names mentioned, but atleast my initials are on the painting)

🎨week 8.
The eighth week at the art academy.
This week I worked on 5 assignments; 1) I finished the wallpainting this week. It isn’t perfect and I have accepted that. But if I had more time I would’ve been able to make it perfect. But for now, with the time I had I’m okay with this, seen as this was my first time painting a portrait this big, 2) Paper; weaving, I’ve woven two portraits. Really enjoyed this and I’m planning on making more. I also filmed the proces which you can find on my youtube page, ▶️ Links: https://youtu.be/rlzVL-i0E64 & https://youtu.be/f1HSp2jOb-c Links can also be found on my facebookpage, 3) Paper; I made for the first time origami, an elephant. It was harder than I thought it would be, 4) Intercative technology, we had to come up with and idea for a game. We drew out the board and cards and also made an interactive componant online, 5) WIP wood, we have to make a chair out of a wood of choise, I decided to go for wood from a walnut tree and I did some searching for ideas. Will continue this next week, 6) WIP We had to design a box that shows a certain experience, feeling, etc. Only sketched a bit and made a moodboard. Will continue working on it next week

🎨week 7.
The seventh week at the art academy.
This week I worked on 5 assignments; 1) WIP I finally started painting the wallpainting. It’s not perfect yet and I’ll have to adjust the face but I loved working on it every minute so far. I’ve worked on it for 2 days strait and only got 2-3 more days left because of the deadline. So if I had more time I might’ve been able to make it perfect but I’m not sure if I’ll be able with only 2-3 days left, but I definitely get to learn a lot from it, 2) monotype; we made a print with some type of paint (very sticky and oily) (I forgot the name of it), 3) WIP ceremics, we made a start on making/baking ceremics. The process I more different than I though it would, 4) WIP intercative technology, we had to come up with and idea for a game and we are probably gonna work it further out next week, 5) WIP wood, we have to make a chair out of a wood of choise, not sure which type of wood I wanna use yet.
