two months ago I said goodbye to volleyball and said it was the hardest thing I decided to do, not realizing the hardest goodbye was the girls who made it all worth it. #forevercoot #bleedgreen

📚 Method Monday 📚

Warm Ups

Teaching athletes to warm up correctly helps establish habits that support athletic development throughout their careers. A proper warm up prepares athletes both physically and mentally for training and competition.

It's the foundation for better performance, movement quality, and long term athletic development. It gradually increases heart rate, blood flow, and muscle temperature to prepare the body for sprinting, jumping, and lifting.

Other Notable Benefits:

1️⃣ Prepares muscles, tendons, joints, and the nervous system for more intense activity which help to reduce the risk of injury.

2️⃣ Activates the muscles used for acceleration, deceleration, and change of direction reinforcing proper mechanics, footwork, and body positioning.

3️⃣ Improves balance, body awareness, mobility, and control which helps athletes develop better movement patterns for their specific sports.

A warm-up isn't wasted time. It's an investment in performance. It builds consistency, discipline, and a routine that helps them transition into a competitive mindset.

WARM IT UP!!!
