A twenty-eight year old incel, Miller, and a trans-questioning nineteen year-old, Target, meet in an internet chat room. That’s the premise for playwright Else Went and director Emma Rosa Went’s play “Degenerates,” the subject of today’s BOMB Online interview. Over measured pacing, “Degenerates” contends that we form our identities in relation to others–through collisions that are surprising, uncomfortable, and even sexy. “Degenerates” has been extended at Playwrights Horizons in Manhattan through November 1. Follow our link in bio to read Else Went and Emma Rosa Went’s full conversation with playwright, filmmaker, and educator Annie Rasiel. Image: Performance still from Else Went, “Degenerates,” 2026. ❗️❗️❗️❗Now Casting❗❗️❗️❗️ INFINITE LEG, A New Play Written and Produced by @annierasiel Directed by @katyearlybird Casting “Infinite Leg,” a new one-act play. It will be performed as part of Write Club’s Summer Playfest at Target Margin Aug 28-30. Synopsis: Get big! John, Mike, Dan, and J started off as strangers recovering from leg-lengthening surgery at a boarding house in Europe, but now they’re brothers. As the big guys crank leg (an agonizing medical procedure that lengthens their bones millimeters at a time), they cheer each other on, share secrets, and imagine how their lives will transform with a few hard-won centimeters. An absurd comedy inspired by drag performance, body dysmorphia, and the craziest corners of the internet. Each performer primarily plays one character, one of the hypermasculine, posturing dudes. Occasionally, the performers break out of those characters to deliver more grounded monologues about body image from a range of perspectives. See the linktree in our bio for the details via Google Doc & Backstage. Come at us with those self tapes by 7/20!

Two sold out screenings and one UK heatwave later and I’m still reeling from the incredible experience that was @raindancefilmfestival . Not only were we incredibly honored to show @pescadorfilm and be a part of this year’s lineup, but for our film to be nominated for two awards at the fest (for myself and lead actor @alexandriawanebo ) just made it all the more special. We all had a marvelous time and met so many fantastic people and we hope to be back soon. Thank you to the entire team at Raindance for putting on an amazing festival.
